Morrowind in another 5 years?

Don't bet on it. Battlespire and Redguard comes first, and it wouldn't surprise me if they still sell Morrowind on Steam 5 years from now.

They're inbetweeny games. They can release them before they chug Morrowind out in 2019.

This is pretty damn awesome, though Jormungandr is probably right. A lot of people will probably come here asking for help.

Not to pull a Mannimarco on a touchy topic or anything, but whatever happened to that "lost source code"?

I believe HD explained that was just a rumour.

I'd do a happy jig, but then I remembered that I've still got my 1mb connection, so it turned to sad samba. :( Still, maybe put the game downloading when I leave for work or something, tomorrow. Still, moderate amounts of glee. ^_^

They don't need to source code to re-release the game. They just need a Daggerfall retail disc, and I'm sure they have those :P

So if the source code is lost or still there, doesn't matter.

Even though that was never more than a rumour, I never saw how lost source code could possibly make the game impossible to re-release. They still have the executables, they still have the resource files, most importantly they still have the Gold Master. They have everything they need to make the game install and run, why would they need the source code?

Although that's all moot, as the lost source code is no more than a rumour.

ED: Freddo explained it. First and better.

Now for those who are experienced with DOSBOX, which is the best, most stable version of DOSBOX? I think mine is quite old...

Use the latest 0.73.

DOSBox 0.73 is the most recent, and from what I've been told, the only one that runs a stable Daggerfall.

This is impressive. Now I can run the legenedary crash, er, Daggerfall. :)

No, let's be honest, it was a little crash prone.

Olaf, you're strange, I don't know what the problem with a 1 MB connection is, that's 1 MB a second on average. That's not exactly a long time. :)

So, again, don't know why downloading something even 400 megs would take awhile...
honestly, I'll be happy if it downloads in about 13 minutes myself.
