A fully faithful rendition of the original TES2 based on the original assets. The core game would remain unchanged, but it would feature:
- All bugs and major balance issues fixed (obviously)
- Updated 'cartoon-style' high resolution graphics based on the original artwork, retaining the 2-dimensional bitmap style for creatures/NPCs without the horrid blockiness
- Streamlined controls and interface suitable for modern PC and console gamers
- Additional/fleshed-out gameplay features omitted from the original release, such as the Order of the Lamp, useful boats.. maybe even the 3D dragon?
- Dungeons regenerated to be of a smaller, more manageable size on average. Wouldn't be difficult as they were for the most part procedurally generated anyway. Naturally this wouldn't apply to the hand-crafted quest dungeons.
Anyone else think Bethesda should do this? I reckon it'd sell pretty damn well.
