In the opening sequence of Daggerfall who played Uriel VII and Ocato? I looked everywhere but couldn't seem to find this information.

We don't know. Uriel VII was some local actor and Ocato was a gamesas guy, but we don't know the names.

That's what I thought as well, and I was curious about the actors. I checked Imdb and the likes and found nothing. Well thanks anyway.

Indeed, the acting is great and very nostalgic. Uriel Septim's stuttering, pausing, the way he makes eye contact with you, it's all very chilling. Reminds me of the sequences from the original MYST and Riven (the cornerstone of 90s live motion FMV).

I bet that the two of them combined worked for way less than Patrick Stewart.

It's just so atmospheric, the gloomy dark setting, the way the torch lights up, first time I saw it, I was thinking "WOW! It's not every day you see something like this!" Back then I hadn't seen many FMVs, later on I got C&C Red Alert, etc.

Realms of the Haunting was superb in how it integrated its FMVs to the setting / story, it often used the rooms in the game as the background, which really helped add 'authenticity', good times

Yeah, mer got an appearance overhaul between DF and Morrowind. Also, Bretons changed from the anglican to frankish naming-scheme.

The Breton name-change does at least make sense, as "Bretons" are people who live in Brittany in real life (in france)

I prefer the golden-skinned Altmer in the earlier games, much more aesthetically pleasing than that freaking YELLOW in the newer ones.

Definitely, especially considering the Daggerfall budget VS Oblivion budget.

And I prefer it over Oblivion's introduction too!

I don't recall the Altmer being golden skinned in Daggerfall. Or at least if the PC is female.

Bad descriptor. Golden in the "tanned/bronze" sense. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Arena:Races#High_Elf

You can get those skin tones in Oblivion at least. Just look at Ruma Cameron.
