I wish it looked 'ugly' though. My text isn't readable
Well it is readable, but my crap eyes can barely make out what's written even with contacts/glasses on! I play in windowed mode. Only in letters and the journal though, http://i728.photobucket.com/albums/ww283/xuerebx/xeuix2-1.jpg. Might need a scaler or something, dunno how to use that though.
Also, continuing on yesterday's problem, since I need around 60 magica to cast the recall spell, and I've only got 30 (didn't take the 3x magic multiplier as a special advantage), what can I do do be able to use the recall spell? Even if it means 'hacking' my player to add this special advantage, I just can't backtrack every dungeon!
If you must cheat, there is a shortcut to get back to the entrance. Save your game, load your game, Alt-F11. Alt-F11 takes you back to the last place you were standing (useful for getting out of the void), but a freshly loaded game has no step history, so instead, it takes you back to the entrance.
Otherwise, if you want to be able to use recall, you're going to have to play a character that has some degree of magical ability. Training up your mysticism will reduce the cost, so it may be theoretically possible even for this character to cast Recall. If you want to try this, join the mages guild, go to the spell maker, and make a very low powered "open" spell. If your magic skills are too low to join the guild, buy "Buoyancy" from the spell seller (non-members can buy spells). Head to an inn, get a room. Spam Buoyancy until you run out of magic, rest, repeat. Do this until you think you've got Thaumatergy up enough to join the guild. (Also note that now that you have Buoyancy, water areas of dungeons are going to be much, much easier for you.)
Once you're in, head over to the spell maker and make that low powered "open" spell. Not only can you now open any door in the city, you can head back to the inn and spam your open spell. Check the cost for your Recall spell (or a custom teleport spell, since I hear that's cheaper than the default one) periodically. At some point, the cost may go down to 30, or perhaps even less..
