Are they considered 1H weapons or Sneak weapons?

Every weapon is a "sneak weapon", as long as you use it while sneaking.

Edit: Actually just one handed weapons, apparently.

By "Sneak weapon" I just meant it's perks and stuff are under the Sneak skill, but it makes sense now.

They are considered 1 handed weapons but they are used more as a utility. They are situational and best used for assassinations rather than hack and slash. I believe this is a good decision.

What I am wondering is...

Can you take someone from 100 - 0 in one back-stab and see a throat slit finishing move.

Ah, I see. Well the skill for the dagger is 1H. And if i'm not mistaken the perk is there too.

Refer to Sammuthegreat's Post.

1H, but you get perks in sneak which give a bonus for using a dagger.

Only one handed weapons give the sneak attack bonus.

If it's the same as OB then using Daggers in combat means you hit faster and more often than other weapons but do less damage per hit (obviously). The down side to using daggers in combat is that it's harder to keep your distance in combat, as you have to get close to attack, this means you get hit more often.

Or, like the dagger I had custom made when I was in Thiers...it can be considered a letter opener. Just gotta be careful not to cut myself on it. :P

Ultimately this is what I want to know. :)

In fact I have a great desire for this to be true. It would eliminate the base ball bat feeling of 1 shot assassinations that occured in Oblivion.

I just tweeted Pete, so maybe we'll get an answer of some kind.
