If you set the ammo use on a weapon to 0, it doesn't need ammo to fire. Though if one also sets the ammo type to nothing, it shouldn't display 0/0 on the ammo HUD.

Please stop making these incredible mods.

Sorry no can do ... its way too much fun. :)

He doesn't have that great a computer either, but he still manages to make awesome things.

As per specs posted on FO3Nexus... saw them as i was looking to see what all other mods hes posted.

You should see my other 1 in the univ dorm where half the work is done. Its even worse. :)

I cant set ammo need to 0 cuz GECK keeps changing it back to 1 (didnt try FO3edit thou), and my first thought was to set ammotype to none but it messed up the fire rate really bad (at least for the tau carbine, ive been experimenting with this before starting to work on the actual weap), but thx for the suggestion its always appreciated.

I use FO3Edit for edits like that. It's a breeze to use, too.

Well there are bolters (i presume you meant that) out there, like 2 or 3 versions as far as i know, but the mask is a good idea that i could make wout rigging (means less time needed). Ill think about it, but for now i have a long list of what id like to make.

Here is a small suggestion that I had to get off of a person who knows Necrons better then I do: DoT effect on each shot.
Necron weapons use Acidic projectiles to rip though foes Armored Tanks and stuff, so maybe the weapon should have a conditional bonus to damage that only applies if your foe has over X DR. Or maybe just stick with adding a poison effect to each Necron Weapon you make, since that way the damage stacks(but won't work on robots and the like)

Ive read on the net that Necron weapons peal down the enemy (armor skin anything) by molecule layers but didnt know it was acid, i thought it literally rips the outer molecule layer from the target with some kind of energy pulse, and does this in fast repedition (Made more sense, since you can have an unlimited energy source but unlimited acid supply is more problematic, and necrons are not famous for having supply lines and factories, at least i didnt know if they were :P). That why it has a relative high damage*, but not so hight dmg per shot + Ignore damage resistance (since it does not mater what you shoot with it).

But ill try to find some more info on the net. Thx for the tip.

Edit: *ive meant relative high fire rate :P

It's definitely NOT acid (I play necron) is an energy blast that destroys things on the atomic level

considering we already have a Tau race and armor, can we possibly expect a necron suit of armor (or creature, armor would be better though)

Speaking of which, someone made a Tau stealth suit, but to be honest, the texture that gave it is... it's just blindingly awful... you should look into texturing that http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7873 into the way it should be :P

Yes I promised to texture it as soon as it gets a proper UV map, cuz i dont really have the time and energy to UV map it (i really do hate doing it, especially if i have to do it in 1 go, not like when i make the mesh too and can UV map the piece i just finished)

First off, let me say this and mean it, you're a great modder, you make great looking models and textures, and that it's an honor to have your classic Fallout Weapons in my T3T_WT mod.

However, I just don't care for WH40K at all. Well, not so much that I dislike WH40K so much as I absolutely don't care for it's lore breaking entry into Fallout. I know you may not care about lore as much as me, and I respect that, because any good modder will say "Mod for Yourself First, Everyone Else Second," but I hope you can bring more classic fallout weapons to FO3, and even though we may disagree about canon and mods, that you continue to allow me to use your work in WT.

I'd be a fool to look at any of these and say they svck, because they don't. They're quite high-quality and better in some respects than WH40K games I've seen screens of (I recall it's hard seeing the detail because of the WH40K primarily being RTSs.)

I have no idea where I'm going with this, so I'll just finish with this; Keep Modding.

Thx for the compliment.

As for the canon friendliness, in games like these (easy to mod) i like to keep the game vanilla for first playtrough, if the game was good then for the secound use only canon friendly mods, and after that mix everithing i like, and make the most of it from the non story parts of the game (since at that time i find new things too scarcely to keep me playing), and I like WH40k tho i mostly read novels, and talk about it with friends.

As for more classic mods, i have 1 in mind but its not an equipment mod, as for weapons im thinking about Solar Scorcher, and the Classic hunting rifle (think its called RangeMaster), Power fist is unlikely too much rigging.
But nothing is certain. as i have really little time nowadays.

I'll second T3T's thoughts on the quality of your work here. Very VERY nice stuff.

Something that I'll point out for your consideration - totally up to you if you want to do anything about it or not.

My issue is not so much that I cannot stand WH40K being in the Fallout world from a lore standpoint (it does tweak me a bit, but there are ways to integrate things that make me happy)... it is more a matter of not caring for the "bigger is more awesome" aesthetic that tends to be so prevalent in WH.

I love the detail in a lot of WH40K artistry, and some things like the design of the Tau Carbine and the Rail Rifle, I really enjoy -- just not the "must be on steroids or else use mechanical assistance to wield" weapon sizing.

...not really expecting you to do anything about it - and don't know how many people share my issue (I'm sure at least some, but who knows). Especially considering that, from what I know of doing all of this, making "scaled down" versions would be double most of, if not all of, the work. But if for some reason you did happen to make some versions that were sized more "appropriately" with other Fallout weapons... I would FIND a way to make them fit into the game world properly - to heck with lore!!

The pictures aren't working for me, I'm afraid.
E: Oh wait, now they are. Jesus what, that's going to be interesting. Perhaps you could use whatever sound the ant spit/bloatflies use?
Also, will that use ammo, or will you have to feed it?

Heres a new one took me quite some time but have to say as for complexity, it is only rivaled by my Tau Drone Companion mod.

Warhammer 40k Tyranid Impaler Cannon
http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=14277
A little underdeveloped but working Weapon-Symbiote from the Great Devourer

I've also uploaded the original texture files (layered to easy edit) to http://daishi.atw.hu, for those who'd like to make some retextures.
