I've uploaded the original texture files (layered to easy edit) to http://daishi.atw.hu, for those who'd like to make some retextures.

Ive made it to be more or less an equvivalent for the Gauss Rifle, plus ive made an NPC to get the Tau ammo from (BTW guess what race he belongs to .... yep hes a Tau)
PS i know Tau have hooved feet and four-digit hands (three fingers and one thumb), but the Rifle is the main point :P

So, you understand where this next request comes from;
I'm working on an add-on the http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=964399, and was thinking of adding a unique weapon, used by one of the elite ships security snipers -you bag him, you get his weapon -that kind of thing. At first I was just thinking of some kind of rifle -not specified yet, and today I saw your beautiful railgun...

So, I am formally asking permission to add your Tau railgun to the inventory of the USS Minnow ships security sniper devision as a unique weapon. Full honors and kudos go to you in the credits line up, naming you and everything contributed by you.
Also -maybe in version two, but still.., as a major contributor: a gang member and boat are yours, ie there can be a interceptor powerboat named the DaiShi with a guy at the helm, styled anyway you want..

If you don't want it to be showcased in the Minnow add-on, that's cool. But I just had to ask, it's soo pretty

Veeeery nice. I can't decide which is more impressive, the gun or the Etherial. The scope, effects and downright everything are top notch. The only downside is the standard of the gun is so high, the shot doesn't look quite impressive enough to match up to it. Perhaps you could add a short imagespace modifier when the gun fires which intensifies blue or something?

Sure go ahead an use it, (a boat named after me .... sounds amazing)

Just to let you know, you may want to use a tool like FO3Edit to remove some of the extra edits from the Tau Ammo Vendor.esp file. Looks like you hit the "recompile all scripts" button in the editor, that may cause some compatibility problems with other mods.

Nice modeling work, though.

That would be so awesome to have a warhammer chainsword in this game, maybe have the teeth use basically the same animation as the ripper's and sound when it swings. It would work like a sword I guess but be much more awesome. Anyway this is great. Good job.

i'm using it right now !!!! one hell of a rifle !!!! i love it !!! but i did some " personal " changes !!! ^^ what about make a shorter version but full automatic ?? u know : same gun but with a shorter rail and automatic ??

Well theres no such thing as automatic Rail Rifle in Tau weaponry, they have instead http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m490029_99060113001_TauPathfindersMain_873x627.jpg Vendor already selling the ammo for it now i just have to make it + its effects.

If the markerlight is te module on the top then yes (sorry dont play the tabletop so i only know these weaps from PC games), i intend to do the one u can see on the link above.

Any chance that we may see a Firewarrior Pulse Rifle in the future?


Well The answer is a definite MAYBE, i dont plan on more than 2 mods ahead and that 2 slot is already filled w something else but at the moment i see chance for it.

Just finished mesh for Pulse Carbine. I usually dont do this, but since im really busy with my studies, I thought i post some images just to let u ppl know im still modding. :)

Works ingame already.
It uses sniper rifle's reload animation.

BTW i know this baby has 2 ammo clips, and the bigger one in the stock is changed when reloading (at least in Fire Warrior), but unfortunately FO3 didnt have any reload animation i could use, so i had to improvise. (i think it turned out relatively well)

Edit: Fixed spelling error :P
