Daleks?

Not really - I couldn't see either work particularly well in their current state as the dalek has various parts that move in ways that using the existing animations wouldn't achieve. It would be much quicker and produce better results to make the animations from scratch than to edit the existing ones. Making the animations isn't the problem, it's just finding the time to do so and setting up an efficient export workflow.


Ah, well the best of luck with it, I'll be away for most of Easter so I won't be sitting around waiting for anything :P

Nick's done a good job of rigging it all up, we're currently busy with life stuff and working out how to get it exported properly so don't hold your breath but there's a nice looking dalek on its way.

Any updates?

Nothing new on my end - still a lack of time, but also of motivation at the moment. I just don't want to do anything 3d related. Hopefully we'll be getting some extended animation support in the 3ds Max NifTools exporter soon, which will make certain aspects of the animation export much more cohesive (at the moment I'd have to use 2 different exporters to export all of the animations).

Well... erm, one featured a Dalek! Heh. I'm guessing the other screenshots are of the area in which the dalek encounter will occur.

Going to give this a bump as this is something I'm definitely looking for and I think Demeggy would like to see it too.

Did this project die? It seemed to be going pretty well.

Seemed to be getting so close, then the silence of death...
Maybe the shock of Tennant leaving the show was too much for Elizabeth to bear?
