Damage and Resistance enchantment

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 8:55 am

Just wondering about why theres not corrosponding damage and resist values in the enchantment editor

Some like Fire damage and increase fire resistance are present but others like energy resistance ( which i think is important ) are not there .

Is this me or has this bin patched or has someone come up with a work around.

Im new and opologise for gramar or if this has bin posted before etc , hope this is easy fix could make interesting weapon / armor combos

Cool with some work a flamer becomes a freezer (Liquid Nitro Gun ) and some simple armor could be more resistant this your bulkier stuff
in the search for balance

That's because no vanilla armour grants energy resistance. You just need to make your own base effect that grants energy resistance.

Im noob as, as far as Ive gone is making Dogmeat essential and does fire attacks for some laughs, and the standard uber guns and armor for
the standard walk through the game to suss it out.

Can you please explain how to make amy own base effect or point me in the right direction please .

Thanks

Under Game Effects --> Base Effect, edit 'IncreaseDamageResistance'. Change the 'Assoc. Item' field from 'Damage Resistance' to 'EnergyResist'. Then, give the effect a new ID and save it. Answer 'Yes' when asked if you want to create a new form. You now have an energy resistance base effect.

Now go to 'Object Effect' and edit 'EnchPowerArmor'. Remove the base effects listed there and add your new energy resistance one. Give the effect a magnitude. Give this objects effect a new ID and save it.

Now go to any armor you want, and edit it and give it a new ID, then attach the new Object Effect to the armor and save it. You now have an armor with energy resistance of the magnitude you specified in the object effect you made earlier...
