I enjoy low bullet damage in Brink. Too many game have high bullet damage which creates a "see first-shoot first" environment with instant kills that encourages camping. With low bullet damage, players are forced to be less tactical and adopt a more run-and-gun approach. The player with the more skill gets the kill, not the one who has the patience to crouch in a corner and shoot passers by.
With all rifle weapons, it takes an average of seven shots to kill a Medium body-type in Brink. One or two more or less for other body types. If you use entire clips on baddies, I suggest you check your aim. I assigned Crouch to the L2 button so I can crouch while I shoot to improve weapon accuracy. I also use Front Grips and Muzzle Brakes to improve my weapons' stability.
