Damage NUMBERS?

This isn't medieval Borderlands. I don't agree to that. It breaks realism.

I always turn these off in games.
heck, I don't even like the crosshairs on, it just bugs me having that thing in the middle of my sight all the time.

I think they're trying to get to a more natural feeling style of gameplay, and to have all the numbers and health points floating around makes it feel more mechanical, and less natural. I get that it's an option you can toggle on and off... but it just doesn't sound like it would fit very well in TES.

Maybe, if it was optional, but would the numbers obstruct my view?

I can't really seeing it happening in the game but I definitely wouldn't be against it. It is simple enough that it wouldn't really effect the gameplay enough to matter; it would be for people that want to see how much damage they are giving on average.

Don't want dev time wasted on this swill even if it is optional. Just flat-out No. No time wasted adding the numbers in the first place, much less on then adding a toggle for'em.

I would not use this option and I think it's rather a modding material for the few who like it.

Sure, I don't mind options.

I think it's cool in games that do it. I'd be curious as an option for sure!

How about an enemy's health bar like in Morrowind? I wouldn't mind seeing that. The individual numbers appearing after every, hit I dare say Borderlands style, isn't what I want to see in TES games.

Rather than numbers or bars, I would prefer that the health of anything you were fighting be reflected in damaged textures, and injured animations. That's probably too much to ask though.

Ugh, forget numbers and bars and all that stuff. Just give me blood squirting from the trench my sword gouges in my enemies.

I keep seeing people bring up Boarderlands. Numbers appearing on hits and heals is far older than that game.

I remember it at least from the SSI Gold Box games.

It was sort of silly even then....

Was the poll edited? I don't ever recall the word Toggable in there before.

i know it would break immersion, but i play mmos and it's awesome seeing damage numbers flying around.
if they don't implement it i would maybe like a combat log also? :S
OH yea!
this is to give everyone an OPTION to use this feature! which this means that you CAN use it but you DON'T have to!

Almost as stupid suggestion as 1:1 timescale
