Damage types and resistances in Fallout 4

Im more interested in building a cryo rifle (like a hunting rifle style gun if possible as those types of guns worked best with VATS with their large spike damage in a single shot)

Now, it would be interesting if you can modify missile launchers, which will hopefully return, as the great and majestic fat man has returned (yay! ^^), to fire missiles with different types of damage (except plasma and energy damage though, as it will blur the line between energy weapons and non-energy weapons...).

Oh boy, incendiary missiles. I really want that!

electric/EMP missiles would really, really, come in handy to defeat power armors, considering that they are now literally walking tanks...

Exceptions is then you are fighting either hard enemies or hordes who has known defenses and weaknesses and its not an mix. Legion in NV tend to have some enemies in good armor so you needed something who penetrated even if lower dps.

Actually, skyrim lowered the max damage resistance from the 85% it was in Fo3 and Oblivion to 80%

It really is a big crying shame that they wouldn't combine DR from FO3 and DT from NV and make it just like how it was in FO1/FO2/FOT. Both DT and DR are insufficient to properly portray how armor really works. It's really mind-boggling how companies noticed this 20 years ago but cannot today.

Old Fallout system is most recently used in Dead State and is still the best for this type of game, the only better system I saw was in 7.62: High Caliber.

I really hope that they won't use that terrible Skyrim system here as well: It failed in early game, late game, was cryptic, easily broken with crafting. But everything we saw shows that it probably will.

there are a number of games where Hybrid damage types are slightly inferior just because your trying to get around damage resistance. its not a case where a level 1 revolver does 1D6 a level 1 Lazer does 1D6 while the Hybrid does 2D4 damage but a level 1 gun does 2D6 some goes do half damage in this catagory and hald in this second catagory so if you have 1 point resist in both its -2
