Damn Achievements!

First, please no PC elitism. I played exclusively on the PC for years and had the same elitism but then I grew to be an advlt and discovered the comfort of the couch.

Anyway - Xbox achievements are making me do things in the game that I normally wouldn't do, such as join the Dark Brotherhood. There's an achievement for joining all of the guilds and I really want to get 1000 points on this game. It will work out in the end though, because I'll just use my first character to get the 1,000 points then start a new one and play it my way.

You don't have to do all guilds on a single character... you can play a good guy and a bad guy.

Some people play for fun. Some people play to get all the achievements. To each their own, I guess.

On my first playthrough I played as a Breton Mage and focused on Destruction. It took me about 107 hours to get the platinum trophy for ps3 (ps3 and xbox have the same achievements)

You should be able to unlock your achievements through just playing the game and enjoying it. Only exception being the 'Oblivion Walker' trophy/achievement. For this you need to get 15 daedra artifacts and its very easy to miss one or two if you make a wrong choice. Particularly with the Masque of Clavicus Vile or the Staff of Corruption. You have to get all 15 daedra artifacts with one character, not two or more playthroughs, so I would STRONGLY adviise you read up on the daedric quests on the internet before you start them if you really want to get those 1000 achievements points :)
