Dancing

Dancing.

(I did a search and found absolutely NO reference to this.)

It's not unlike combat, and could be an awesome minigame.

It fits the genre.

It would go well with music played by bards, if any.

Skyrim Chanel 5 anyone?

Um, well, I suppose I don't see why not given the right circumstances. A minigame? Nah, it's not really a gameplay mechanic. I suppose if the Nords are having some drunken celebration or something, sure, go ahead and dance. :P

I would really like to see some NPC's dancing. Drunkards staggering to the beat of the bard, or just some bystanders dancing to the tune of a traveling minstrel. I would like it, but a minigame for the player just sounds bad.

I imagine NPC's will be dancing, there's really no reason not to implement that. I don't think players will be able too without a mod or console command to play the animation though, it would be really cool if you could dance and perform other animations like that by default, but I don't see it happening really.

Eh, if they do this once they are finished with EVERYTHING else, sure. Just about the last thing on my list though...

I'v never thought of it before but dancing would be awesome, I want to RP as a big mean looking Orc pressured by his family and society to be a warrior, but his true passion is salsa dancing.

Nords already have a cultural dance that they perform at their drunken celebrations. It's called a bar fight. :foodndrink:

NPCs, OK.

Player, not so much.

I mean I would like to come in and just see a carnival ( AKA bloodfest ) in a bar. Dancing the dance of death

Are we fighting or dancing?
I think it's more of a dance now... Just go with it.

As long as it doesn't make NPC's like me, like a certain game who's name shall not be mentioned.

I could see NPCs having some sweet animations.

But PC? Not so much.

I wouldn't be against the idea, but its meh to me.

Good question - yes - my character would like to perform a victory dance every now and then as well as getting invited to at a tavern - it just adds to the roleplaying

Can't see the importance as a player activity. But I wouldn't mind to see dancing as some sort of cultural activity, that the player could observe. Dances for war, weather, celebrations and festivities etc. But quite low priority stuff...

Its possible, I mean, TES has done it before. I have found 3 dancing NPCs in morrowind.
