Dang already? I guess it was just a matter of time since the whole game was in the hands of the leakers. I think Bethesda is going to think real hard for their next game after FO4. Either go all-out secretive or do a decent amount of gameplays late through the development of the game just like many other studios do. Frankly, even though people are much to blame, Bethesda has also created the problem for themselves. A game that's a highly anticipated game both by fans and the media and a highly secretive developer is really not a good mix.

Edit: one of the worst things i have found about getting old are senoir moments like these where I am unsure if i was misinformed or I actually misremembered. The latter makes me feel like i'm losing it sometimes.

For all the people wanting reviews ect a long time ago... This is what happens when they send out review copies some people abuse and post spoilers.

I'm pretty impressed with this community so far. I just opened an account because the main gaming site I'm a member of has pretty much devolved into the scum of the internet. I'm basically making this my home for Fallout chat (hell, as well as the rest of Bethesda's future titles). Watching that video just made me even more paranoid.

I was watching a stream and didn't consider spoilers in the chat. That's something to look out for if you do plan to watch streams/videos but don't want major story points spoiled, don't look at the comments and chat .

I've been avoiding most info Ive seen, normally I want to see everything thats out there but Ive been really sheltering myself from F4 info just so nothing gets spoiled be it story or just locations. Hearing about the rampant fools spoiling the whole story is extra incentive to stay off most sites for awhile.

I remember after i beat Dragon Age Inquisition i went over to Twitch to watch my favourite streamer. He has a very small loyal following, and its just a treat to watch him play and anolyze RPG's. Then there is one dike that just logs in and enters the chat to spoil the end of the game and he leaves. This guy i was watching is a huge Dragon Age fan and he was just crushed. I can't believe that people go out of their way to make others unhappy in any way. If they want to share stuff on other forums then leave it under a heavy spoiler lock and warn people. If it is as bad as people here say and other places, some are actually trying to sabotage the ending for people. Tiny story/rant over. I will be very careful the next few days. I have been waiting 7 years since Fallout 3, and its not gonna be ruined in the final sprint up to the game.

I'm going off topic but anyone know if this kinda stuff also happens in online communities for movies?

Movies people tend to do it inadvertently when they're giving their opinion on the movie. They tend to just blurt it all out.

Gamers on the other hand, when they do it they do it maliciously (except for the odd accidental spill, once a game is fully released and they're asking about their bugged quest and so on).

I had the whole ending spoiled in a fricking racing simulator forum. Nowhere even remotely related to gaming is safe anymore.

And yes, I'm pissed off.

Most of it is malicious,And while some of its "Just dont care im gona play my game and show off" even a lot of that is from people who are doing it maliciously.

Heck one guy was actually trying to extort donations from viewers to see more of him playing the game. that ended fairly quick when it was obvious others were also streaming or posting and he started to get his Videoes hit with takedowns.
