Sinking into deep snow wouldn't be dumb, imagine if you're climbing up a steep hill, and the snow has accumulated on the ground more than you know, then all of a sudden *pop* and you're in down to your chest and need to somehow climb out (if you stop struggling you will just slip down into the snow and drown in it unless you dig your way out in less than 1 and a half minute. and since snow isn't very trusty when you're trying to climb out of a hole and tends to just crumble in your hands this can be pretty tricky) this has happened to me, in a snowstorm where i couldn't see more than 1 meter ahead of my face, and i was wearing summer clothes, and as i was struggling to get out of the hole my pants dropped and i was there in my underpants

however lucky for me i'm as close to a "nord" as you can get in real life, i have natural cold resistance and i quite frankly just like colder temperatures, so even in the freezing -10°C or -15°C then wearing summer clothes, i was quite all right.
