I dare a Bethesda employee to answer this.

Cobblers. If that's the case, why do no other Havok using games - of which there are quite a few - have these issues? They don't. Blaming bugginess on Havok is just ridiculous. The game's bugginess is Bethesda/Obsidian's fault.

@DarthRonson

We're not talking about bugs here, we're talking about performance issues. Do you know the difference? Also, Again this wasn't an opinion, it's a technical fact, just google it.

I'm going to laugh (again) HILARIOUSLY at this comment. So, it's the consumer's fault, for buying a game, that was advertised to work on the platform it was designed for, but really had no hope of working because the engine used was faulty?

That is just soooooooo wrong.

Thank- you.

@Seena

your comment really betrays a great ignorance...

Knowing what you buy! How is that a ridiculous idea? Not only is it wise, it's the only way to go. Had you researched the question prior to your purchase you wouldn't be stuck with a 60$ title which you claim is unplayable. Don't blame Beth/Obsidian! considering the ps3's Ram limitations and havok leaking what little memory the console has, they did the best they could. Again it's not Beth's fault, does miss Cleo sell exactly what she advertises? Will you saturate her forum threads too? Get real, this is a market, and as a consumer it's your job to stop (and in your case) smack your forehead while thinking ''I will not buy crap without first knowing about it''. Anyway, i'd hate to see you shopping for a pc, would you just randomly pick parts with your eyes closed and come back latter complaining it doesn't work like it should?

Finally,again, the game DOES work, but it freezes, lags and has quite a few game breaking bugs. The script bugs and graphical glitches are being fixed as we speak, but as for performance, it can only run as well as the Ps3 and havok will allow it.

Buy the pc version??!?!!! You know nothing about me, or my personal circumstance. To suggest to me, that I should "go buy the PC version" after spending 60 dollars and hours and hours of time on the PS3 version - is just too funny, and I'd lol across this page if I didn't think it would be deleted. To suggest to me, "go buy the pc version" - when you know nothing of my ability to play a game like this on my computer - is ludicrous.

I'm done with you - if you have any further commentary, please refer to my sig.

@Seena

Frankly i couldn't care less wether you are rich or poor, if your poor, then blame yourself for a preemptive purchase. If you are rich, shut up and get another copy..

The game was released on PC AND 360/PS3. It should work on all three platforms the way it is designed to work, which honestly it was probably designed to work in the shoddy way that it does, a company should not be able to get away with any of this. No other company ever releases games that are in this dire need of revamping, most companies will push back release 1, 2, 3, or even more times to get proper polish on their games.

@ Arkhaine

Your demands are unrealistic, it's like asking a computer game developer to make their games work on all pcs. It just can't be done! Hardware requirements and console specific quirks cannot be overlooked. Beth/Obs is doing everything that can be done to optimize the game for ps3 if that ain't enough for you, i'll tell you what I told Seena. Get the PC version.

That's what happens when you use some cheap ass Irish made software engine. Look at how the Irish Economy is now.

@britman

You sir, are a biggot and a racist, i'd say it's cause you are british, but then i'd be riding the same sinking boat you are...the S.S anti-semite

No doubt all games are made on and for PC before they get ported to console versions. What did you think? Did you think maybe they built games by using a console? Seriously?

@stargiss

...You obviously don't know much about programming. How the hell do you then account for PS3 exclusives? Like Killzone and Uncharted which are developed from the ground up specifically for PS3. Sure they don't make the game using a ps3 console, but it's still not a port designed and optimized specifically for PS3. Falloutnv on the other hand is a a ported version of a game specifically optimized for pc.

Honestly people...

Don't get me wrong, i'm no ps3 hater. I'm as much of a fan boy as anyone in these threads. I'm no flamer either, lurking the ps3 threads so I can spray some gas and light a match.

But people complain about the performance issues and I give them an answer. FNV is a ported version of a pc game, a pc game which was developed with a focus on the pc platform. Now the ps3 has limited ram and this causes some problems with havok, because, havok leaks memory.

......Now i'm repeating myself...screw it, just read the thread dude, I express clearly why buying the PC version is the most realistic solution

Closed for flaming.
Racist comments, discussion of emulators which isn't allowed, pc elitism...all not allowed.

Feel free to discuss this in one of the other open threads discussing the freeze issues and be aware they have promised a patch.
