In any case, I must say that one of my favorite games that lies close to heart is the game Dark Alliance - the portable version (Gameboy Advance). Considering the platform's limitations this game was really impressive... and I'd like to think it still is. Captivated me to the point that when I first got hold of this game, I replayed it 3 times in a row. (Of course, each time trying one of the 4 available hero classes (1 which became available after finishing it for the first time).) I was always hoping for a chance to see Dark Alliance II emerge on the scene, especially considering Dark Alliance I ends with a cliffhanger...
Today, there's a different handheld platform on the market, as popular as ever (the third iteration of the NDS has just been released since the original release in 2004/2005). The popularity for these machines doesn't seem to fade. Why wait? I see an opportunity to bring Dark Alliance II to a machine which is not only more powerful than its predecessor, but also has a special type of interface - touch screen. Imagine the initiative gameplay that can be achieved, which one couldn't on either the GBA, or even the larger counterparts. A chance to reintroduce it to the gaming scene, and also to a new crowd. The title itself holds weight, regardless of how it comes out. But I'd like to think there's a really good chance to breathe some fresh air into the franchise. A thought. Large game sites such as Gamespot and IGN gave the first game high praise, 8.0 out of 10, at the time of its release. That was the GBA. I'm pretty sure the bar can be raised with the DS
