Dark Areas are weird colours

Post » Fri May 13, 2011 1:12 pm

After installing MGE the dark areas at night, or in caves appear a weird blend of greens, blues and blacks. I'm not really sure what to make of this, or how to fix it.
Is it conflicting mods? should I install a new shader?
@-@ Did I press a wrong button?
I'm not sure if this is MGE's fault, or... you know, mine. So I thought the appropriate thread would be in here?
Sorry if this is in the wrong thread :/

It sounds like a common issue with bloom/hdr shaders to me.

To save yourself some time, I would just remove the bloom/hdr shaders from your shader list, load the game and check if the problem persists, if so, then its not the shaders, if no, then it is the shaders, and they will need to be adjusted accordingly, I found, at least in PK's bloom shaders, that interiors and underwater are normally way over bloomed, leading to wierd coloring and or overly bright spots when they should be dark(especially underwater). I just lowered the interior and underwater bloom settings in the shader and it corrected the oddities for me, though the values are partially dependant on your monitor, so I'll let you play with those numbers yourself.
