As far as I'm aware, you can't get the armour without joining.

However, you can get the robes without fully joining. Murder someone, and a set of robes will come to find you.

That's one way of putting it :biggrin:

Anyway, there should be a way:
Spoiler
A house in Bruma has a set of DB armour.

Well, this is the general forums. I wasn't sure about giving the OP full details here. Plus it's more fun this way :toughninja:

I thought that house had a Black Hand Hood and Robes rather than the Shrouded armor.

I was sure it was the other way, now I am confused :unsure:
Edit, http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Bruma. Makes sense that armour is somewhat exclusive

@Skllan
That only happen if you are a member of the DB.

If you have the deepscorn hollow DLC you can get the raiment of the crimson scar which is the same look but different enchantments.

You could always join the Dark Brotherhood for the armour, then make up a reason for leaving. That is, if you roleplay.

What is the reason for wanting the armor? If you are playing an assassin/thief it would make sense to go down the quest.
As Count Lauriel has said- you could always leave after you have the armor.

QFT
Spoiler
On Turdas she will leave the Sanctuary at 1am again, this time to locate near the well of the local Mages Guild, always strolling around it. And on Loredas she will depart to the city of Leyawiin through the east gate, taking the Blue Road first until she finds the Red Ring Road and turning at the first intersection to take the Yellow Road. Once she has arrived she will spend the next two days scouting around the Castle grounds, until she returns to Cheydinhal on Sundas at 12am.

Well you get one by joining the Dark Brotherhood, if in ur journey of the Dark Brotherhood u lost the armor, then theres a quest in the DB u can give it back, in the quest u have to kill everyone is on the sanctuary, once killed everyone dont leave the sanctuary and complete the quest, when one member is dead u can get their armor.
