So, as I'm sure EVERY real Elder Scrolls player on here knows about the Dark Brotherhood. They are without a doubt one of the best parts about the game. It has been confirmed that the Dark Brotherhood will be returning to Skyrim (which made me overjoyed). As I was thinking about all the different ways of killing people with items and weapons, I thought about the overall Dark Brotherhood and I raised the question:

Would you rather have: An entire game devoted to dark brotherhood, A movie made on them, or A book written about them with the story line and plot, etc.

(Just so I get this straight, this is a hypothetical question, I'm not saying anyone will do any of these things ever, I'm not saying I'll do them, and please do not just post and criticize that Bethesda "would never do any of these" because I already know that.. I was just wondering what your opinions were.)

A book would be nice. I honestly don't think an entire game devoted to them would be much a genuine Elder Scrolls game. Still fun, perhaps. But it wouldn't be part of the main line, not with limiting the options like that inevitably would. Dark Brotherhood generally doesn't like hiring a big, ugly, smelly Orc covered in plate armor whose main manner of taking people out is knocking down walls like Kool Aid and turning everyone in the immediate area into spaghetti.

And when it comes to an Elder Scrolls movie, to me there's only one option: War of the First Council.

A game in my opinion would feel like a Assassin's Creed clone. Well, that is how I usually picture a game set around the Dark Brotherhood. They aren't worthy of a entire movie devoted to them, the Elder Scrolls is a big world and figures like Tiber Septim are more worthy of a movie since he's a major figure of the lore. A Elder Scrolls TV series with episodes devoted around them would work better as it allows for the world of Tamriel to be fully explored, as is Bethesda idea with the games, a movie would restrict much of that exploration.

As for a book; The most likely to happen out of the three. I'd be a lot more interested in a book set around the Dark Brotherhood than I have been with The Infernal City and the upcoming sequel.
