Dark Brotherhood/Vampirism/Werewolves/ect.

Post » Thu Sep 02, 2010 1:24 am

So i just put this topic here for people to talk about some of the above mentioned.

I think it would be awesome to include the DB vampirism and werewolves,

but how exactly would they incorperate these ideas into Skyrim, without making it feel redundant, or just reimplimented from Oblivion?
Any ideas?

Skyrim have different vampire clans than Cyrodiil and have been seen in Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind & Oblivion, no doubt they will be in Skyrum . And werewolves fit too well in Skyrim but yet remains to be seen. Dark Brotherhood is confirmed to return.

EDIT: And by DB vampirism, do you mean the Crimson Scars?( A faction composed of vampires who almost destroyed the Dark Brotherhood, but failed when they were betrayed by one of their own. tGreywyn Blenwyth the leader was killed in Deepscorn Hollow while ROwly Eardwul survived.

For one, they could take advantage of the lore of Skyrim's awesome vampires. The Volkihar sound like my favorite vampires. They live under frozen lakes and such, then reach up from the ice, without breaking it, and pull victims in. I have no idea how they could implement this for the PC because I don't imagine we'll be allowed some sort of toggle collision affect just because of vampirism, but it would be awesome.

Well, the Dark Brotherhood and vampires have been around since Daggerfall, so it's pretty easy to do. DB has also already been confirmed, and vampires might as well have been since they're incredibly easy to include and they're such a popular feature and Skyrim is the origin of the first vampires. Werewolves are another story entirely. Only seen in the Bloodmoon expansion and it requires a ton of additional effort just to make them.

I'm fairly certain Db and vamps are in, and werewolves or shape shifting of some form were strongly hinted at by Todd. He said "they are playing around with it".

I suggest you don't say "we need Morag Tong." If you thought the DB was a bunch of religious zealots, the MT are worse. Hell, it's canon that the DB is secular, relative to the MT.

If anything, the DB needs to go back to its roots as one only assassin guild, and for good reason, with members more concerned about money and less about Sithis (which is BS to begin with)

I believe the Dark Brotherhood and vampires are in, as far as I know, vampires have been in all Elder Scrolls games to date, though I'm not sure how or if Bethesda will take advantage of established lore on Skyrim's vampires. As to werewolves, it hasn't been confirmed yet, so we can only wait and see.

I think this belongs in the Dark Brotherhood, Spears, Morag Tong, Exploits, Vampirism, Sload, Crossbow, Lycanthropy, Mounts thread.

No seriously though. What is this? Combining multiples things that are currently being discussed is not creating a new topic to talk about.

Well i havent discussed it, and its my thread, if you dont like it or have anything to say about it then go, leave to this "Dark Brotherhood, Spears, Morag Tong, Exploits, Vampirism, Sload, Crossbow, Lycanthropy, Mounts thread" you keep talking about

I was more or less referring to you including 3 completely unrelated (well mostly unrelated) topics all in one thread. Combining topics is one thing, but why these three? Lol.....?

well you guys kinda are jumping the gun a little late, this thread was made awhile ago with no complaint.

anyways back to topic, and to the people that have something to say about this game thats coming out this november.

It would be cool to accompany people on their assassination missions in the Dark Brotherhood guild, or have people accompany you to help you out on a perticularly hard mission. Ive heard you can have multiple followers in Skyrim, so i wonder if they have changed the controlability of your companions or if they will still, yet again, run off and die somewhere.

and the Dark Brotherhood and Vampirism were kinda both played hand in hand. If you decided to become a vampire you basically became a perfect assassin right there with new strengths and weaknesses. werewolves tie in as well because it goes with the altered forms, or transformations, like vampirism. lol. its pretty easy to put all that together

:cookie: for op

On topic, Vampires yes, werewolves yes, dark brotherhood yes.

You really should use existing threads in the future though.

well this is for db werewolf vampirism which goes with stealth or whatever, people who want to talk about dark brotherhood quest possibilities post here, people who wanna say how theyd like to have their vampirism effect their gameplay like in oblivion for me it seemed odd that i could feed and then sleep one or two hours and need to feed again. just stuff like that, and i wanted my own thread why cant people get over that fact lol. if you have something to actually say about the game, like chat about what would be cool, ideas good and bad, whatever this is youre thread.

geez people, stop being thread nazis!

Yes but there are already MANY threads discussing those very topics. Specifically.

Im not trying to be a jerk Im being serious. It is good for the forums and good for getting ideas across to keep discussions about the same thing in ONE location.

If anything you should be happy that we are keeping this alive lol. Had we not just argued about this back and forth this thread would be lost.

To have a specific thread about Skyrim etc is rather pointless when there is a whole forum dedicated to it.
