Dark Elf Lore Questions and Other Such Things

Sooooo

Reading the recent thread on Ridiculous Role-Playing Rules. I have an urge to start a new game and hard-core roleplay. I'm doing a slit throat and archer sneak thief.

Anyways, I decided to be a female dark elf. I was wondering if people could tell me things or lores about dark elves that will help me roleplay her better. Such as, the three daera they worship. Such as in Dragonborn alters. The different houses, like which one I should decide my dark elf likes or may be in.\\

As such, I havent played more than a half hour in morrowind, so I dont know much. sorry. I started to like TES in oblivion.

So,

1. What daera do they worship?

2. What are their great houses traits?

3. Is there anything lore wise very important to know when being a dark elf?

4. Empire or Stormcloak?

5. Can they worship more than the three daera? Like, them, but then I later also worship the thieves guild one?

6. Are there any interesting traits about dark elves not rally talked about since morrowind?

7. Would they dislike another race? Would they marry another race?

Anything else.

Thanks for any help.

1. Boethia, Mephala and Azura.
2. Nobility, Piety, Religion/Redoran&Indoril. Eccentric, isolationist, unorthodox/Telvanni. Merchants/Dres&perhapsSadras.
3. Not much besides the answers to the other questions.
4. None, but if you had to pick one, Empire.
5. Sure they can. They can worship anything.. the Dunmer culture just doesn't revere anybody but the 3 good Daedra.
6. Dunno what you mean.
7. Everybody, but especially Nords and Argonians.

1. What daera do they worship?

Azura, Mephala and Boethiah were the most commonly worshiped.

2. What are their great houses traits?

Redoran were dogmatic warriors, Hlallu skilled diplomats and underhand thieves, Telvanni aloof and often insane mages, Dres very traditionalist and fond of slaving, Indoril fanatically loyal to the Temple, and Dagoth woefully misunderstood.

3. Is there anything lore wise very important to know when being a dark elf?

Ancestor veneration and an abhorrence of necromancy that isn't done with temple blessing seems prevalent.

4. Empire or Stormcloak?

I'd say Empire is most likely. Many Dunmer seem relatively happy about the armistace, though in recent years with their abandonement they'd probably see little to gain from joining the fight.

5. Can they worship more than the three daera? Like, them, but then I later also worship the thieves guild one?

I can't think of any reason not to.

6. Are there any interesting traits about dark elves not rally talked about since morrowind?

They were supposed to be pretty awesome swordsmen, a fact not borne out by their Skyrim skill bonuses.

7. Would they dislike another race? Would they marry another race?

Probably they wouldn't feel much love for the argonian slave races revolting, nor their long disputes with the Nords. But it varies between different Dunmer. As for marriage, hard to say.I guess the traditionalists would want spouses that follow their way of life.

Anything else.

4. Empire or Stormcloak?

I'd argue this depends on where your Dark Elf is from. Via Dragonborn, we know that the Dunmer living in Morrowind despised the Empire enough after the Oblivion Crisis to completely destroy House Hlaalu, with Redoran stepping in to pick up the pieces. Some have argued in the past that this is enough to offer a Dunmer being roleplayed from Morrowind an incentive to join the Stormcloaks.
