Sorry I thought at least one person would post an old RPG favourite..

Speak with dead, you raise the spirit from the remains of a body to communicate with them.
Compleling secrets and infomation from them.

Finger of death, instant kill if a save is failed, tbh I doubt saves are in however make it a simple level check.
If they pass you deal X damage to them.

Symbol of death, kills any creature below X health automatically, no effect on stronger enemies.

Wail of the banshee, a close range AoE finger of death.

Skull trap, use a skull to form a magical trap, when triggered by someone drawing close the skull shatters and deals a large amount of physical AoE damage.

Raise dead, bring back a corpse as a companion.
Depending on level greater undead can be created.

Resurrect, bring back an NPC as themselves, they are no longer dead or undead.
Just fully living, breathing NPC's as they were before death.

Curse, AoE enemy attacks deal less damage and are slower.

Enervation. Targets can not heal themselves.

Disease, Targets are inflicted with a disease and suffer all penalties from it.

Resurrection sounds very nice less about stupid followers, similar to the console command
symbol of death is similar to the drain health effect if you use it with 1 second duration.
finger of death is the same but add a damage effect.
curse is also a drain attribute effect.
Does enervation also include potions :)

Liked the different raise dead ideas, raise a dead npc for a short time or have a permanent undead follower.

 You know just after I posted I realised that most examples I used could be made with existing effects, but I thought maybe no one would notice.

Yes I would think even potions should be included, though again tbh the drain health effect for a length of time pretty much does this in effect as it is.

Without including potions and scrolls it would basically be a silence spell. Add a long term low level damage health effect for more fun, and yes npc also has that spell.

Think and Post spells you've made up or got from somewhere else that you would think that would fit in Skyrim and has to be dark magic... (like necromancy)

Necromancy isn't dark magic... It is considered blasphemy by mages.

And in TES, dark magic doesn't exist... It's only magic.

True, but it's a difference between my "disarming" spell and summon "beer".

Desecrate: Damage health spell that does bonus damage inside chapels and other sacred ground
Possess: Not a simple mind control, it is a channeled spell where you take full control of the target, only works as a sneak attack and the target's allies think he/she has just gone mad instead of being possessed
Curse (cant think of a better name): Can only be casted on a sleeping humanoid. The spell requires reagents and has a kind of long casting time. The result is devastating: the victim, unaware of the curse, lives their life normally for a few days, spreading the curse to loved ones (checked by disposition between NPCs maybe). After 1 week of the original cursing, all afflicted targets begin to bleed out and burst into flames :D
Affliction: All negative effects currently on the player and transferred to the target
Curse of the Cold (Nord tribal magic): A swarm of ice wraiths appear around the target, and only last for a few seconds, but devastate the target within that short time.

I'd like a spell where you could summon like a shadow demon mount kinda thing. Like the one off of The Eragon movie. Horrible movie, but awesome shadow demon mount. That would be fun! Then you could fight the dragons in the air...

If they add a permanant undead ressurrection thing im probably gonna butcher a town and lead an army of zombies to kill more and raise more until its basically Night of the Living Dead :)
but they'd probably put some sort of lame limit on stuff like that :(

Ones I'd like..

Clone: create a fully functioning clone, if you die it takes over and has the same stats as you when it was created.

Simulacrum: You create a mirror image a clone of yourself, but it's a temporary summon.
It has all you skills and stats, and acts just like you, but is unarmed and has no armour.

Mirror image: You create a random number of shapes that look just like you.
They run around and simulate your actions as a distraction.
They each have 10 - 20 HP's, and can't cast spells or attack in any way.

Dance of madness: Each NPC starts to act randomly, attacking the nearest person, dropping all items equiped, running away, dancing wildly, or laughing uncontrollably.

I really enjoyed making spells within the parameters of the spell making system, but having more options would be really awesome.

I like to make spells for roleplay purposes as much as for gameplay, so I tend to theme my spells. Goofy, I know, but I can't help myself.

For the Frost Scythe:
Frost Scythe~ Blades of thin, black ice reap your enemies, slicing into them from all directions.
Cold Hearted~ Icicles form on the interior of the victims heart, bursting through, or forming frost and slowly freezing their blood

Necromancer (I want to be one, really, give me the choice at least :P)
Lichcraft~ It would be a really long, and difficult quest, and you would have to meet certain skill and attribute requirements but once completed you would be able to make yourself a lich. This would grant you all sorts of abilities based one what type of lich you chose. There is a mod that did this for Oblivion and I really enjoyed it. I would really like to see something like this brought back and updated for Skyrim.
Dead eye~ You can see through the eyes of a corpse to witness their last moments of life.

Black Rose (a witch that uses personality, trickery, seduction and all forms of beautiful magic to do what they wish):
Briar~ Vines of beautiful roses sprout from the ground, ensnaring any in the area and damaging them with their biting thorns.
Dark seed~ like the cold hearted spell, but a blood red rose is planted in the victim and the twists and sprouts....

And I swear when I started this I had way more, but I have been sidetracked so...... will be updated when I find my thread of thought.

Flesh Peeler/Melter - Slowly turns a low level NPCs into a skeleton.

Black Hand - Cast a dark rune to the ground and when an unsuspecting person travels over it a dozen or so zombie/bone hands reach out to hold him still. May or may not drag him into the ground.

torment: makes the target extremely depressed and eventually commit suicide

plague: makes boils appear all over the target as they die slowly

call of sickness: makes the target throw up until their guts come apart (made something like this in morrowind, minus the throwing up)

release the beast: causes the target to painfully transform into a disfigured monster that kills everybody in the area then dies

i got loads, but im not typing them all up

Soul Binding- Rips out the soul from a freshly slain enemy, forcing it to fight for you.

Flesh Rot- Rots away the flesh, and binds the soul to the bones, forcing them under your will.

Flesh Carving- If they are unconscious, carve runic symbols into their skin, binding them to your will.

Mark of Death- Draw the mark of death into an actor. The mark spreads from one actor to another by contact, after a set time it does massive damage.

Bloody Thread- Binds multiple enemies together at one point. From there, the thread is pulled (by backing away) slicing deep into their bodies.

Blighted Flesh Avatar- Scar the flesh with the unholy mark, then force them to commit to your desires. (You Directly control them as if they were your character, cannot pass through doors, etc)

I agree, it would also allow you to learn from their deaths. Very useful for the dark character.

SI had the raise dead spell you got then you find the skeleton parts for the ghosts at the hill of suicide. Not permanent but you could easy make a long duration area effect spell out of it as it was a cheap effect.
Found no limit on number of raised, however npc killed by your undead started to fight their killer then raised making an army of undead pretty pointless.

That was a good expansion of the silence effect who block spellcasting.

Another one is possess, you take over the body of the target, benefit is that you don't care if the possessed dies and would usually want it anyway, One effect might be that the possessed don't raise an alarm so you possess an bandit guard outside a dungeon and he can go around explore perhaps even take things and bring back. Yes you can also just backstab the boss and let all the other kill you. If you possess somebody yourself would be frozen/ paralyzed and an attack on you might cancel the spell.

Life Syphon - Absorb health on target, plus dark looking effects. The amount of magicka cost is for both damage to target and life given to self to make it balanced.

A spell that breaks the targets bones one by one. Also a spell that cuts the target as if there was a person with a dagger slicing the target.

Necromancer should be an epic side quest. Mainly because to gain the power you have to make yourself a Lich.

Dark magic shouldnt be something you start with, but something that comes at a heavy cost for the power you recieve. The mage guild for instance would hunt you down, weakness to silver, cant use restoration magic etc.
