The link to it in that post of this thread is still working, and is the same file I have myself if anyone wants to grab it...if you still have issues getting to it, let me know and I can host it for people to grab on my own site

I feel the need to bump this thread. As my last post stated I'm fairly happy with the fix (for sure, compared to the alternatvies) - however did anyone elaborate on the issue with a retexture resembling the old sun (and not one that's seen through the lens of a http://img159.imageshack.us/img159/60/mgescreenshot1il5.jpg)?

P.S. I appreciate the work, Aviloff, but you know.. :D

red eye, could you post it on yer own site? it makes me think something is shady about grabbing stuff offa rapidcra...i meant share =)

megaupload isnt bad, but makes me feel uncomfortable, unless its pes or something...NOT elric's. alot of drama over there lately would rather avoid.

Rejoice... there is a fix.

Read the first post
http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=1036626

Grab MGE 3.80 svn 118 and sunshaft v002a.zip from speedyshare (if it's offline try again later).

Open "sunshaft v002a.zip" and copy the "Data Files" folder into Morrowind's install folder. Also copy "Data Files" from "NoSunGlare".

After you install MGE, open it and go to the "Tools" tab. Click "Shader editor". Click "Edit active". Double click "sunshaft_v002a". Click "Save".

Go to the "Render State" tab and click "Hardware shader".

Go to the "Misc" tab and click "Update shader variables" and "Supply shaders with depth info".

That's it.

Run the game and enjoy the sun.

Did I mention you also get sun rays?...

http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=1068935 and his wonderful new mod http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=8188 should forever bring back the sun too it's normal appearance all over Vvardenfell again. This fix is the ideal solution for all ATI owner as it didn't require MGE or any fancy shaders.
