this type of problem can persist from an overheating graphics card causing the memory clocks to drop decreasing the amount of textures the vram can handle, check the airflow of your cards and try again after they have cooled down, if this does not work check what background programs are running and also check how much ram is being used as teh graphics cards can also sometimes share memory with the ram, although i doubt this with a gtx 460 up or a 5750 and up. so check the airflow of your card and how hot it is getting. if you still have the problem PM me and ill try to help yoou as much as i can.

As someone else said, my system is not the problem. My case is a Coolermaster HAF932 which has pretty damn good ventilation and it's like 0 degrees in my room so it's svcking in plenty of cool air. Not that that matters, I've played games during the summer when it was 100 degrees outside and my computer didn't over heat then either. Like I said earlier, this is a game bug or a driver issue.

I made a thread about this, but will post here so its noticed. It happens to me too. Also sometimes maps like Wall street the actual lighting will not be visible. Just shadows, and a green haze, then it will sometimes flash the correct lights randomly.

Here is what I get on lighthouse, and pretty much all maps with that grass texture (similar glitches on other maps too with lighting):

Me and my two friends play over skype. We all have different drivers and video cards and all of us experienced it all at once. I confirmed that in one server everyone had the black grass and overbright lighting.

CRYTEK PLEASE FIX THIS! I can put up with the other problems, but if theres one thing I dont want glitched its the awesome graphics :(

Specs:

CPU: I7 950
GPU: GTX 480
RAM: 4 GB 1333 mhz
OS: Windows 7 64 bit
Driver: 266.58

Settings:

Extreme, 1920x1200, no Vsync

It exists on every map that has that particular ground texture. Pier 17, Light House, Statue, Evac, Sanctuary, etc..

it must be a bug, texture error then because i am not currently having this problem so i would not know just trying to help, id recommend to reinstall crysis 2 and see if that does anything but if you have installed with steam try downgrading to a set of earlier drivers

Why should reinstalling solve this problem?

Same issue here.
Has to do with the texture.

I vaguely recall when building maps in Sandbox2, that certain texture /shaders would break the lighting. The entire map would light up, leaving certain textures very dark. Flushing out all other textures to a very white'ish stuff.

Also you may notice that once this happens it becomes near impossible to see cloaked people. As that blue halo is almost entirely invisible.

I dont understand it. It must not be a hardware/driver issue because everyone in the server I was in was complaining about it. My friends have ATI cards, and I have a 480 and we all experience it.

Please Crytek fix this or at least address it so we know its coming. Messing with the graphics on Crysis 2 is such a shame :(
