Cant even play on Lighthouse anymore without it happening. Happens SOMETIMES on other maps too. Such a shame :(

My money is on a shader / texture with the incorrect surface details or something.
Def something to do with one of the shaders.

They should release Sandbox 3 so we can fix it.

Erroneously compiled shader.

Open the "Engine" directory in the Crysis 2 directory, find "ShaderCache.pak" and "ShaderCacheStartup.pak".
Move them elsewhere: delete them, change their name, move to a different directory, etc.

From now on every time you start up the game, the game will have to compile the shaders into your ram. This means your game will start out a black screen and will eventually fill with meshes and textures. Shouldn't take more than a minute. But until they patch it, this seems to be the only fix.

think of it as fresh soil that was just put in the ground, fresh soil imported from a console port.

I tried and it did not work :( It took a long time for everything to render and textures to pop in, but they were still black :(

Nevermind, this only seems to work for a while. Grass texture becomes black eventually, even with the shader cache displaced.

This really svcks. Lighthouse is such a beautiful map, yet this just completely ruins it. Come on Crytek at least reply so we know your aware of it... :(

Like I said before, it probably affects everyone. They just haven't noticed it yet or it doesn't bother them enough to come on here and complain about it and/or look for a solution.

I saw a video or two on youtube and the corrupted textures were in those, too.
