Erroneously compiled shader.
Open the "Engine" directory in the Crysis 2 directory, find "ShaderCache.pak" and "ShaderCacheStartup.pak".
Move them elsewhere: delete them, change their name, move to a different directory, etc.
From now on every time you start up the game, the game will have to compile the shaders into your ram. This means your game will start out a black screen and will eventually fill with meshes and textures. Shouldn't take more than a minute. But until they patch it, this seems to be the only fix.
