I'm really enjoying this mod! :nod: (Didn't get to play it in time to vote).

I just finished level 5... GREAT level, BTW! Very creepy atmosphere! Lots of surprises... very cool! :clap:

One question on that level... is there anything to the "Shopping List"? I thought it odd so I tried to find everything on it thinking that it might lead to something somehow. Never did find the Mead though so I figured the list wasn't there for any special reason. Was it?

I think the shopping list was just generic Oblivion clutter. Glad you're enjoying it! :goodjob:

The music is the "Prologue" track from the Lady in the Water Soundtrack, composed by James Newton Howard. :)

Not 100% sure, but I think this is your solution:

Return the Jester's Skull to the stage and the chest will open. It contains the key to the exit

after I drink the poison and walk away from the burning guy I'm in an area with a locked door and I can't find the key. How do I get out? It's the room that says the skulls can't me removed from the book self.

I am having trouble downloading the mod from the link you provided. I registered at the site. Is it currently down? I'll try again in a little bit. The trailer looks great though.

LOL I never looked at the readme to notice that there are hints to help you out in sections that you could get stuck in. Also level 5 was awesome. That had a great haunted house feel like when I was younger.

i see there hasn't been a lot of recent activity here. hope the mod hasn't fallen off the radar. It's very well done and an enjoyable romp. i admit having to read the cheat-sheet a couple of times. I was a little let down by the ending, tho...

Now on to my problem. Some how I got the "Fix Fake Replica magic Item Ability" which gave me the "Fix Fake Magic Item Spell"
which has affected several of my amulets and rings by removing enchantments. http://www.pbase.com/ewaldorph/image/134523538/large.jpg

I picked up the Jester's Scepter and Mask and found that their magical abilities were broken. Later, when I retrieved all my inventory from the final chest I found their enchantments restored. I did not use or equip these items nor have I used the spell.

When I check the console I find that I keep getting the spell added and then continually removed. http://www.pbase.com/ewaldorph/image/134523506/large.jpg

How did I get this and, more to the point, how do I get rid of it without uninstalling the mod?

As an aside, I could drop the Scepter and the mask but the ability remained. Also, when dropping the mask it stuck in mid-air and could no longer be retrieved. It became disabled.

Hard to believe this was just a toss-off. :teehee: Since i didn't see any explanation of that ability in the game or docs and the three enchanted objects seem to be worth having (100% shield is nothing to sneeze at) I would hate to have to jettison the mod :stare:

Maybe if I have a little time I can play with reordering—but i do use BOSS :rock: and Bash. :toughninja:

Actually, I laughed out loud at a couple of points. The screaming girl nearly knocked me out of my chair! (WTF?)
:rofl:

When I got to the hanging gardens I had to disable MMM. My machine is no slouch but I was mobbed and it kept crashing when I got to the lake. (I could probably have handled the spawns but I have three companions and they take a heavy processing toll.)

I really liked the mod and the loot. I just wish I could get those bad scripts fixed :sadvaultboy: .

Welllll...I'm the project lead for Darkness Hollows and I'm trying to help you. A post of your load order may narrow down the trouble, the scripts were supposed to be fixed in version 1.6. :)

Is the ability connected to the items? What exactly does it do? I don't remember anything in the mod about it—just the Jester's Skull.

This appears to be a conflict or LO issue. The spells being called are not from Darkness Hollows. According to Google they are from Duke Patrick's Combat Magic II but I don't see that in your LO. Have you recently uninstalled that mod?

Actually I just installed it along with Silvercliff about the same time or concurrently with DH but haven't played it yet (which is why it never came to my mind and I reflexively blamed DH—apologies again.)

It didn't show in the load order because BOSS didn't know what to do with it and dropped it at the end. The LO I included was actually the Bash Patch because it was the easiest to cut and paste, and, of course they didn't show up.

I usually don't install more than one new mod at a time and this is a good reason to go back to that practice. I will play around with it and see what happens and let you know. (Later today... It's getting late and I'm fading.

Thanks again for the detective work. i never thought Google would return something like that.

Google is your friend. I usually just google "Oblivion" and whatever phrase I'm trying to track and I get pretty lucky. Let us know how you make out, good luck :foodndrink:
