[RELz] Darkness Hollows

This has been reported before and ended up being a mod conflict with Streamline. The solution is to deactivate streamline before entering Level XI; it is safe to reactivate streamline after leaving level XI. Let me know if that's not the case for you. :)

Thanks a lot! Worked as charm, even with a save in the middle of lvl XI, no problems.

That's weird and svcks for me since I'm using Streamline too. I'll have to remember to deactivate it when i get to that point.

Uriel Septim lies on a stone, dagon's statue wears amulet of kings... when I click on the amulet of kings, dagon statue breaks, then I try to use the teleport path to imperial prison but instead to prison it takes me on the edge above - few feet up only. How to leave the place?

The teleport sends you up to the ledge. If you look to your left, there should be a blue portal glowing there...and perhaps a couple ticked off Skeleton archers. :lmao:

3 days, no responce.
meanwhile I diligently downloaded all anew, did not pyffi, installed fresh install (BAIN), replayed from lvl 8...
Reached same lvl XII, got same problem...
If you kindly magnify the screenshot http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2469543730101328736slynRH, you'll see my character on the abovementioned ledge, activator button (green on dungeon floor)
and no blue button or portal neither left nor right from my poor lost girl...

I definitely would hate to abandon this great dungeon and have a lot of patience. I can wait for your advice...
TES4Edit shows no conflicts whatsoever.
What next?

Once the statue has crumbled, looting the Emperor's body for the next bone will activate the blue portal on the ledge above. :foodndrink:

v1.6.0 NEW Version Update:

  • Repaired Keychain Mod Conflict in Level XI
  • Repaired the Level I Exit Sequence
  • Adjusted Hint Guide
  • Added Missing Keys


This will be the final version of Darkness Hollows. While we can't guarantee that there will never be any other mod conflicts, we've invested as much time as we can in this for now. It's time to move forward to the next holiday (and to finishing RST for me) but we hope you enjoy playing Darkness Hollows and come back again next year for our next Halloween Challenge.

On another note, I've had a few PMs now inquiring about future challenges and ESV, when Bethesda releases ESV with a stable toolset we will more than likely carry our challenges over to that game instead of Oblivion but until then, all future challenges will be for Oblivion. :goodjob:

Millstone farm is just over the hill from the Darkness Hollows cabin. The other one isn't close so i don't know why it's mentioning that one too.

Those other mods also have a file named "location.jpg" to be installed in the same folder.
If you overwrite, the Hollows "location.jpg" will be substituted for all the others.
Rename "location.jpg" to "Hollows location.jpg" or some such. Do the same for the others.
Then you will have no more conflicts with that particular file.

HELP!

I just finished level two and here's what happens... I exit the final door which spits me back into the castle at the end of a hall. I walk down the hall passing two doors that I can't get in to (they each require a key). The only other door leads out of the castle! I thought I was trapped in the castle until I finished the mod so I turned around and went back in to search for the door to level III. But nothing.

I went into "no clip" mode so that I could see what was on the upper balcony and doors IV and V are there. No sign of III though. The short walkthru provided with the .esp doesn't say anything about a key for those two other doors. Is that what I need?

No... since I was under the impression that the castle door should still be locked and I shouldn't be able to leave until all the levels were finished, I was afraid it was a bug and didn't want to lose what I had already done. So I went right back in.

I'll go explore out there a bit. Thanks.

That door leads out to the grotto, which you are supposed to go through, you can't escape the castle through the grotto.

Once outside, head up the steps to the guard tower to get the key for level III from the Captain and you can proceed through that door, which leads back in from the grotto :foodndrink:
