Darknut's 1st Person Enhanced By Darknut 2-14-16


Version 2.1


This mod replaces the 1st person animations with the 3rd Person animations.


The affect is more realistic 1st person.


Clothes & Armors now show in 1st person view. ( no legs or feet ... yet )


If you like more realistic game play this mod is for you.



This mod only effects 1st person animation.



If upgrading from DN 1st Person Enhanced 2.0 you need to delete these first.

There are 2 optional .kf files


The Argonian Swimming animations are in the "AS" directory. The default beast swim animation is Khajiit. Overwrite "xbase_animkna.1st.kf" with this one.


The Djok's sneak animations, Almalexia casting animations & Dirnae walk & run are in the "DAA" directory. Overwrite "xbase_anim.1st.kf" with this one.

Only use 1 Body ESP

The "Darknut's 1st Person Enhanced" EPS's "MUST" load after any replacer EPS's that effect Bodies, Clothes or Armor.


Load order in critical for the hands to work correctly.


The hands will be buggered if the Animations are used without the esp's!

Use MGE XE or FPSOpt to set the FOV to 100. This is REQUIRED to see the Armor & Clothes in 1st person.



Due to the posture of the beast races you won't be able to see the chest while walking or running.


If playing a female: After creating a new PC the Female chest won't show up until you load a save game.

There is a slight conflict with Yacoby's fast travel mod ... the mod still works but the accuracy is a little off so you don't always end up where you should.


If you think of it in a roll playing way its actually kind of fun ... just look at it like your not very good at the fast travel spell :-)


Also I suggest that you install fast travel & get it set up "ingame" before installing this mod.



This mod is incompatible with "Animation Compilation by Artaios" because it changes the same files

My mod doesn't effect 3rd person at all so any anim mods will be fine. ... but any other 1st person mod will conflict.



There is a version with Dirnae's anims in DN1stPE 2.0 already.



I personally like the vanilla ones best in 1st Person ... they are to much for some though.

I loaded it, and it worked fine. Unfortunately, I chose to unload it pretty quickly because I got vertigo while walking. I use 1st person view nearly all the time, and the scene kept swaying left-right as I walked. It was just a very, very small shift but enough that I noticed enough to feel off-balance and get a bit of motion sickness, if you understand what I mean. If you can figure out what I would need to do to keep the view from moving while walking, I'll give it another try.

The moving is kind of the whole point .... The Dirnae version sways a lot less than the vanilla. I'm going to add the Swim anims to the original 1st person anims & release that as a patch for people that don't like the head bob. look for it soon

Didn't realize that. I don't notice any swaying effect in vanilla. In RL as I walk around everything visually stays level and doesn't particularly jitter up and down or from side to side as I move around. I think the word I'm searching for is "stable"; the view of my surroundings as I walk is stable. Anyway, I wasn't expecting that type of RL experience :( Like I say, other than my RL physical reaction, the mod installed and worked fine.

I think he just meant that the version of this mod using Dirnae's animations bobs/sways a lot less than the version of this mod that uses the vanilla animations. Maybe I'm missing something though.


In real life, while walking/running, I think our mind creates a relative trick to create the illusion of stability. But if you walk/run around and think of your eyes as a camera, your view is anything but stable. However, I get it isn't the same watching a computer screen of the character's viewpoint bobbing up and down, while everything else in the peripheral real world isn't moving. But somehow when I first tried this mod, after playing it for a while and then going back to the vanilla, the old view felt odd to me, as if I was a ghost floating around.

Yes I did mean that The Dirnae Anims sway less that the Vanilla anims. I added the swim anims to the vanilla 1st person kf's this weekend & though it technically works some of it is buggered a little. The transtions between different movemant don't match up. I can prob adjust it .... maybe :)

Update: Robert's Bodies. The Animation part works but not the ESP's as they were made for Better Bodies.



There is a weird issue with the hands when using the vanilla bodies (and Robert's as it turns out) ... I didn't check vanilla bodies because I didn't think anyone used them at this point .
