Darknut's Greater Dwemer Ruins Version 2

Post » Thu Jun 14, 2012 3:52 am

I have finally found some time to mod again ..... I picked up a Bad to the bone gaming laptop so I can mod when I"m on the road :)

Been getting back up to speed on whats happened while I've been away & where I was on building DNGDR II.

I still managed to keep all my MW files even though I've upgraged my PC a couple of times.

Does anybody still use Nessesities of MW?

Any of my old MW buddy's still here?

How long were you away form modding? Because there was new version, 3.03, realeased in late 2010, so I bet it's still being used by players.

It might be worth it for those that do. A little treat for NoM users.

How you been anyway Darknut? Still got those ghost wolves?

Good to see you again, Darknut.

Yes, I use NoM, though not always.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with for DNGDR II.

You seem to have become an almost messianic figure here, you've made some really nice stuff, Im glad this will be getting an update.

I definitely don't use NOM, and am pretty sure that "everyone uses NOM" is inaccurate. I am not even convinced that a large percentage does. A poll perhaps?

Oh, and good to see you back.

I'd make a patch if it isn't to much trouble for those that use NoM and want to use this mod with it.

Oh btw, some things you might be interested in if you dont already know:
An overhaul of red mountain by piratelord: http://morrowind.nexusmods.com/mods/42125

A compatibility patch between GDR and the red mountain overhaul by knots: http://www.mediafire.com/?y4n2b1nw5vm7n70

and a compatibility patch between great house dagoth and gdr: http://www.elricm.com/nuke/html/modules.php?op=modload&name=Downloads&file=index&req=viewdownloaddetails&lid=4319

Also I believe Btb made an edited version of your mod that cleans up some scripts, you should check the GDR section of this list: http://btb2.free.fr/morrowind.html

Lastly, I believe Falc has remade the red mountain overhaul-GDr patch, to incorporate btb's fixes, you should check here: http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1345249-relz-mrmdngdr-patch/page__st__30

yes I'm aware of this stuff ...... thanks

I had fixed all the misc errors in DNGDR but never released a patch as it turned into DNGDR version 2 ..... looking back I should have just released a patch.
But honestly I thought I would have finish V2 a long time ago ...but real life got in the way .... in a big way.

All these patches will have to be redone for DNGDR V2 because the Tower is all new.

I haven't played your mod, but people often ask if any given mod is compatible with it, so it must be a pretty rad build. Welcome back! :D

NOM is popular, but I'm pretty sure there isn't anything that can be said to be universal at this point. A good number of people have come out recently against better bodies, for example.

Welcome back. Use many of your texture replacers and GDR but my fav is 1st Person Enhanced.

Not a NoM user here either.

Welcome back. I'd also suggest that you do update the NOM version.

Doesn't really matter, but I'm not a NOM user myself either.

I got an email awhile back from someone who was having a problem with GDR... and I'm apparently the go-to guy when *anything* on my mod list doesn't work as expected.

Anyhow, I ended up fixing a bunch of scripts from your mod and posting it on my site. If you're looking to update said mod, you might be interested in it.
