DarNified UI 1.4/DarkUI'd DarN

Post » Thu Nov 04, 2010 9:06 pm

I have but one question that maybe turn into a request,.. as I'm gett'n on and momeory is no so good I like to
have the names show when I mouse over or specialy when I go to talk to an NPC I like to see who he/she is,.
for me it a pain chatting to a room full people to find the dude I'm looking for,.. is the a way to have that on

OK, the thing is, as far as I know (can't test right now, but I have looked through the XML files), that is on by default, and it seems to me that if you don't have the mouseover appearing as expected, you have another mod that has turned it off.

Could you post a mod list so we could see if there's something that could have overridden Darnified UI's files?

That's what you get when running Immersive Interface and DarN UI at the same time - so that might be it.

I did run Immersive to setup the HUD theres nothing there that sets mouse over (well allows user setting) so
I take it what your saying is that Immersive changes it be default?

guessI need to find out what file I need edit to reset it,.. or run with the setting DarN Ui has

I had Immersive Interface installed when first installing DarN 1.3.2 and that was my exact issue. As I understand it they are incompatible, although I don't remember the exact details - and as you can set DarN to mimic Immersive Interface the latter is basically unnecessary anyway.

On a reinstall of DarN Ihave the name under icon center screen but hud in bright and boardered not opague and no boardered like I had it and I didn't see any optons to slect that when I installed
or do I need to manualy configure that by editing files?

I quoted this as a reminder only:

I found the tab to configure my interface back then but I have not been able to play for a bit so when I loaded my save game I found the interface
was back at defaults again so I reset it to what I like and saved the game but I notice every time I reload the interface resets.

I have Oblivion in a non standard dir and I have set read/write to that dir for all users full control for me and can not figure why it's not saving
What have I missed this time it's windows 7 Premium

Thanks in advance

Hey darN I have a question I have seen a Mod for Fantasy menus. I am trying to use custom screen shots of My character for BackGrounds this so it will fit more with the Game. What would I need to change in Order to use custom back Grounds. to work with the more advanced Inventory not the clasic. I could not even consider playing the game with out DarkUI it is Fantastic. Thanks for your Help.

I don't properly understand what you are saying, but there is a hudmainmenu_config.xml file where you can set all sorts of variables. Maybe you find what you need in there? It's in Data/Menu/Prefabs/Darn

This maybe will turn into a screw up as I edited an earler post of mine,.. sorry if it does (should have gone to end of the thread a,. must be getting old)

DarNUI can't save the settings that you change in the in-game menu. You use that menu to choose your settings, then you either take a screenshot of it, or manually copy down the settings and then change the xml file to suit your tastes.
