[WIPz] DarNified UI F3

Post » Fri Apr 01, 2011 8:04 pm

This has got to have been mentioned, but here goes anyway:

when hacking a terminal, the actual 'mouseover' and 'click' parts are screwy with the actual clickable text appearing shadowy and indistinct behind and to the right of the actual word in the list causing you to have to finagle the cursor around to find the actual click point.

Is there a quickfix I can do in the .ini or another file until a new ver is out?

Change Font 5 back to default, iirc.

I'm guessing it should be <_HUDShowEH> 1 set to 0 in DUIF3Settings.xml

That is correct.

Getting a wierd bug while hacking after installing the latest version of the mod, everything is really condensed and it makes picking out words and brackets really hard:

That has already been reported. I believe the fix was to change font 5 back to the default.

there is an easy fix to the problem, i just found out myself, just change

;sFontFile_5=Textures\Fonts\Fixedsys_Comp_uniform_width.fnt
sFontFile_5=Textures\Fonts\DarN_Sui_Generis_Otl_14.fnt

to

sFontFile_5=Textures\Fonts\Fixedsys_Comp_uniform_width.fnt
;sFontFile_5=Textures\Fonts\DarN_Sui_Generis_Otl_14.fnt

under fonts in the ini file... :)

That post is how to fix the hack screen, people.

Whoops my bad, next time I'll keep in mind to read the whole thread before posting(Maybe it should be added to the OP though). Thanks!

What file do I need to edit to remove the compass? And for that matter, what would I need to type or remove for it to work?

Go to
\Menus\prefabs\
and open DUIF3settings.xml -- All the variables for DUI are in that one file (turning off Live button, etc) and they're all marked for which is which. Have fun.

Any word on the next version? Even though the hacking fix works, it changes other fonts too, which screws the layout a bit (like Take All and Exit on container screens - does anyone else experience this or is it just me?)

Can anyone help me with something? I'm using the mod "item descriptions" which adds text to pipboy inventory images, making the image bigger. the image fits in regular piboy UI but in barter and container menus the upper part of the images overlap with the menu line. nothing important but kinda bugs me.. can someone help me with what should i change (in the xml files i assume?) in order to push the item images in the barter and container menus a little further down ?

I seem to be having a problem getting this mod to work....I don't have a FALLOUT.INI in my fallout 3 folder. Or anywhere else for that matter. I have a Fallout_default.ini, which i've tried editing, but it doesn't seem to do the trick. Is there anything I can do?

do not change the default.ini, the ini you need to change is in my documents\my games\fallout3
FYI..if you're using vista the location of the ini is userid\Documents\my games\fallout3

This is stated in the OP (first post of this thread)...just under the font changes.

good luck

Does the Level Up menu support skills past 100 and not taking a perk/putting in skill points?
I don't wanna ditch the kickass level up menu to be able to do that. xD

DarN said it does...but I don't seem to be able to get skills past 100...there is no button to do so :( Once you get to 100, the button to add more skills goes away.

For me I edited the levelup_menu.xml file found in Data/menus with Notepad to make skills go up pass 100.

It's under a heading
<!-- ===== SKILL ITEM TEMPLATE ===== -->
