[WIPz] DarNified UI F3

Post » Fri Apr 01, 2011 11:28 pm

I'm having a bit of trouble with the dialogue menus after installing this. When choosing from dialogue options the text is really big in comparison to the size of the textbox. For example when talking to the overseer your given 3 options, I can only see 2. From the screenshots for this I figure I should be able to see all of them. I'm pretty sure I've installed this correctly and I have edited the fonts in the FALLOUT.ini (in My Games/Fallout 3). The only change I made from what is posted in the OP is changing font 5 (ie switching which one was commented)

Any help would be great, thanks

There is a problem with hacking where the words are shown a bit 'screwed up', to remedy that it was suggested to put font 5 back to default.
Sadly font 5 is used in other screens as well, so changing it back to default can create problems with those other screens.
Personally I can live with the 'screwed up' hacking terminal screens as it still works and I don't use hacking that much so I left font 5 alone.

I have the same problem, although I already got used to it a bit. It would be nice if the HUD stayed the same size all the time.

Btw. great work Darn, I think this is one of the best mods for Fallout 3 (and the best one for UI customization). Thanks!

This mod is one of my most checked for updates. How's the website coming along? Getting itchy with anticipation.

Okay I reinstalled Fallout 3 and the only thing I've done (I've left it unpatched for now, this could be part of the problem) is "install" this UI mod. However my dialogue window still looks like this

I have the Fonts section in the ini (in My Games/Fallout 3/ fallout.ini) as prescribed in the OP (ie I didn't do the hacking fix) and this still doesn't look anything like the example http://ui.darnified.net/wip/F3/font6_wip1.jpg Help me, cause clearly I'm doing something (stupid) wrong.
