[RELZ/WIPZ/BETA] DarNified UI

It really sounds like you have a corrupted ini file. It may be best to save a copy of your current one, delete oblivion.ini and then let the launcher recreate a new one for you. Then put your custom fonts back in. Did you try this?

That did it!

Apparently it was an issue with some tweaks I did in the interface section...

Is there anyway to increase the size of the text in the inventory and container menus? I've searched all over and cannot find any solutions for this. Thanks for any info.

Have a look at this topic here. http://darnified.net/forums/index.php/topic,46.0.html

Unfortunately it only changes it for when viewing the the players inventory by itself, not with conatiners or the merchant menu. I believe DarN had planned to make it so all menus can be resized like this in a future version.

Thanks for the info. Helps but I think I'll be waiting for an update to address this. Again my thanks. Numbrs

Quick question, anyone know what I need to do to remove the background frame from map marker location text so when displayed it just shows the black text?

I know many wouldn't want to use this for legibility but personally I use my own map markers mod and would like to display the text permanently without the large yellow framing box, this will further add to the illusion my character is jotting down locations themselves.

Any chance of adding a column to the Skills tab, showing number of skillups for that particular level?

Might be possible with OBSE.

Yeah, he hasn't logged in for nearly a month now. :( Before that, though, most of his attention seemed o be on DarnifiedUI for Fallout 3 (which was welcomed as it is a massvie improvement over FO3's vanilla UI). Here's hoping he returns soon with another update of the FO3 Darnified. :)

I haven't tested this, but here's something you can try:

Open data\menus\main\map_menu.xml. Find the images "map_world_icon_paper" and "map_world_icon_paper_end". Add a line to each of them:
<alpha> 0 </alpha>

Good to see you DarN! :wave: You are certainly entitled to "real life" every now and then. ;) Especially so considering how much more immersive you UI has made OB and FO3. :foodndrink: Congrats on the job!

For some reason I still have a red orb when my breathmeter gets too low. It looks like the default orb so it does not fit in the new Darnified breathmeter. Did I miss a setting when installing or can I easily change this?

My spare time goes into DUI F3 right now. Both planned changes for DUI Oblivion are more or less system-wide, so they'll need my full attention once I start. Going back and forth between projects makes me loose my train of thought - I'm not a good multitasker. :)

Hey so any changes I make to the UI in game are not saved. The settings reset themselves even before I exit the game. What's my obvious mistake?

I got tired of seeing the weapon durability bar for my fists and for bound weapons that I had no intention of repairing. Here's the hudmainmenu_config.xml code to only show durability when it's less than 100.
<_durbarvisible>	<copy> 1 </copy>	<onlyif>		<copy src=http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/topic/918561-relzwipzbeta-darnified-ui/"hudmain_Weapon_Icon" trait="user2" />		<lt> 100 </lt>	</onlyif></_durbarvisible>

Does anyone have any idea if there are settings to make the HUD reticle info invisible?

Also, how to move the dialog choices to the middle? On a widescreen monitor they are way off to the side.

Does anyone have any idea if there are settings to make the HUD reticle info invisible?

Which info is that? Items, locks, or enemy?

Also, how to move the dialog choices to the middle? On a widescreen monitor they are way off to the side.

Line 123, dialog_menu.xml:
<x>	<copy src=http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/topic/918561-relzwipzbeta-darnified-ui/"screen()" trait="cropx" />	<copy src="screen()" trait="cropx" />	<add> 40 </add> <!-- DarN 50 --></x>

Just increase the amount in the add, or position relative to center screen if that's better. This'll put it in the middle:
<x>	<copy src=http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/topic/918561-relzwipzbeta-darnified-ui/"screen()" trait="width" />	<sub src="me()" trait="width" />	<div> 2 </div></x>

Any adds or subs from here on will be relative to center screen. :)

Very cool, thanks.

It was the item info I was wondering about. The value, weight and health information.

I have a mod that should remove the lock difficulty information, and the only enemy information I want adjusted is the enemy health bar and you've already given us that.

I'm experimenting to see just how much information I can remove from the hud.

I just installed Darnified 1.3.2 OBMM, it's showing red in the list. It seems to be conflicting with Supreme Magicka. Is there a way around this?

[DarNified UI 1.3.2.omod] (major conflict)
Data file menus\dialog\enchantmentsetting_menu.xml already exists
- CRC mismatch. The new file is different from the old.
- Data file owned by supreme magicka 0.89.omod
Data file menus\chargen\race_six_menu.xml already exists
- No data found on file.

From the SM readme:

If you use Darnified UI do not use the raised spellmaking limits unless you want the vanilla style interface for it.
You need to edit Oblivion\Data\menus\prefabs\darn\enchantmentsetting_config.xml as below for it to work.

<!-- Enchantment limits (def.100,100,120) -->
<!-- If you've been using "Raised Spellmaking Enhancements Limits", it's values are 300,300,360. -->
<_esmagnitudelimit>100
<_esarealimit>100
<_esdurationlimit>120

Change these values to 300,300,360 and your get the same result.

EDIT: So very ninja'd....

In other words you should let DarNified overwrite SM's xml file (so that it has the correct DarNified interface), and then edit the XML file as noted above to give it the SM values.

I just now started the game with Darnified, for the first time. The fonts in my menu are thick black and unreadable. Very strange,,, anyone know what caused this?

I modified the enchantmentsetting_config.xml to the settings shown above (300,300,360). I noticed that in my prefab/darn folder, there is no inventory_menu.xml file. Is there supposed to be one?
