I am running through the installation and i get to the last question asking whether or not i want large or normal font i select normal and it tells me that there the Font section of the .ini file is missing and the install cant be completed. Is this caused by something i did in Wrye Bash

possibly, i dont use wrye bash, but when i installed this using OBMM it worked fine. So unless you manually changed the .ini i imagine its either wrye bash or something else.

If installing from BAIN you need to manually modify the ini file with the fonts. Look at the readme. I do not know if there is a BAIN wizard for that mod to do this for you.

The INI file for the game is only fully generated once you actually load the game in. If you didn't do this already, start a new game, land yourself in prison, and immediately exit the game, no need to save the game itself. This will get Oblivion to complete the INI file.

If you get an instant CTD trying to start the game, this is also a sign that you didn't allow Oblivion to refresh the INI when you re-installed. If that happens, just delete it and let Oblivion generate a new one using the above procedure.
