I would like introduce this high quality texture mod to you.

The author is Darooz.

Almost all textures of this mod is twice as large as those in QTP3.

This project is not completed yet and is planned to make most textures in Oblivion, including architectures, trees, landscapes, clothes, and more.

Twice as large as QTP3?? Sounds like overkill to me....

I guess this is mostly meant for projector/multiple monitor set-ups that use much higher resolutions. I would be interested to see some more screenshots of it in action.

Actually, you will see the difference when you use 1920X1080 up resolution, especially playing in 1st person view.

I've tested darooz textures and I noticed no performance difference between darooz and qtp3.I could even say that darooz textures hit your performance less than qarl textures does

There are two files - one named "upperclass_clutter part1" and the second "...final" . Is the first part of the second ?

The "final" contains all files in "part1", so you can just download "final".
I guess Darooz forgot to delete it.

QTP3's textures have strong contrast color that make the graphic look sharp, and Darooz's textures make the graphic look like photo.
However, if you play Oblivion with resolution below 1920X1080, details of Darooz's textures will be blurred and you may feel QTP3 is better.
In my opinion, Darooz's textures are for high end PC only.

By the way, it seems that some people regard me as Darooz's fake account, what a joke.
I am not as talented as him at making textures, and we are even from different countries.
I compliment Darooz on his work because he is too modest to show off, and it's a pity that only very few people are aware of his amazing work.

I can never play Oblivion again, but I was curious to see who was still modding for OB. I HOPE that Darooz steps in for Skyrim

Seems he was running a pirated copy of Oblivion and got permbanned..

Lol Bethesda should give him a free copy, given that their game is still played only due the efforts of modders and artists like him..

Or maybe he should have bought a legal copy, since the only reason he was modding for it was because Zenimax paid out vast sums of money to finance Bethesda's creation of the game.

It's a tragedy.
To encourage Darooz to continue his work, I rated Darooz's file 10/10 with my amnes account at planetelderscrolls.
Then the site administrator of planetelderscrolls thought that amnes were Drooze's fake account which Darooz use to rate himself.
No matter how we explain that amnes is NOT Darooz, that smart administrator (who can't even trace IP log) insists that Darooz is a rating cheater and deleted Darooz's account.
Maybe the administrator is just too ashamed to admit his misjudgement, who knows?
Since site administrator is the boss, he can do whatever he want, and that can't be helped.

Why does he insist on using that site? There's TESNexus, TESAlliance, Great House Fliggerty, Wolflore, etc. PlanetElderScrolls isn't the only mod hosting site.

I don't know whether he insists on PlanetElderScrolls or not, but I think this injustice frustrates him.
Fortunately, his project is still on going.

That archive is updated by darooz himself.Maybe he is working again on the ayleid textures?

He said he will remake ayleid textures again... later.
It seems that he is interested in making clutter textures now.

Because this thread is started by "me", and "I" didn't tell "him" what "I" did here.
We exchange information through email, that's why "I" know what "he" is doing.
"I" don't know whether "he" has an account here or not.
If "you" are so curious, "I" would tell "him" to post something here.

I've changed my mind.
He was banned by TESNexus and PlanetElderScrolls recently, and I just feel relieved to know that
these misfortunes didn't discourage him from making Oblivion textures; because I really look forward
to his high quality textures, I don't want him to come here to be accused or interrogated to become depressed.
I would rather he take his time to make textures than waste time in arguing about nonsense.

Don't know what mistake was made, so doesn't matter, appreciate your commitment to share some of the best textures. And no, I am not a alias for Darooz

The screenshots I have been able to come up with show only Bruma, Trees, and a tapestry texture. I think people (like me) would be more interested if they had a more substantial preview. Does anybody have screenshots from Darooz's clutter textures they'd be willing to share?
