I've never pre-ordered a game before, how early do stores usually start offering them? Assuming the 11/11/2011 release date is still valid, when can I expect Game Stop to start offering Skyrim pre-orders?

I already pre-ordered mine at EB Games. Paid in full, in fact. Until they announce a collector's edition, at which point I'll change my pre-order and pay off the rest of what is needed.

Gamestop have been taking preorders since december.
