Yesterday I went back on Skyrim after a loooong hiatus, as in, so long I literally cannot remember the last time I was on it. When I tried to load a previous save for Winstad Manor, it took nearly ten minutes to load me into the Bannered Mare in Whiterun, where I was sat on a nonexistent chair. I tried to load the save maybe four times, but it did the same thing each time. My spouse in that game, along with my house and kids, had vanished. This happened on all my brother's saves as well, and I think between us we bought all 3 plots of land at least once ? and they were all gone.

On a different character, when I tried to go to Castle Volhikar, it wasn't on the map, despite my character being a Volhikar vampire complete with vampire lord transformation and powers. I was also still married, although what happened to the kids, I have no idea;;; On top of that, there's no sign at all of the Dawnguard. I did actually go to the site of Winstad Manor and I'm not sure if I came across my actual house or just a random thing, but I found what looked like a house that had been burned down. But it wasn't in quite the right place and definitely wasn't big enough?? So I'm not too sure about that. And I have no idea why that would affect the whole game.

Despite all my characters having some aspect of them showing that they did in fact! do all the things you can do in each DLC, the quests also didn't show up on any save.

Today I made a totally new user area and a new character, and went to Dawnstar to try and purchase the land there, but the quest wouldn't initiate. There's no option to get married or adopt anyone, and again, the Dawnguard seem to be totally absent. I definitely remember installing both DLCs and we got quite a lot of play out of them, and I really can't think why they're not working other than they've revolted against long neglect and uninstalled themselves lmao

TDLR; I had Dawnguard and Hearthfire but apparently not anymore, as now I'm playing the vanilla game, and have no idea why.
