Dawnstar

Post » Wed Oct 06, 2010 6:03 pm

I have been working on collecting everything that the imperial library doesn't have on its website to create a new website but i have had some setbacks with little access to the internet so i thought that sinse i had access today i would go ahead and post the transcript of dawnstar all the dialouge in the game that relates to the main quest. I painstakenly went throught the whole game collecting all this information. this is so far incomplete because i tryed a new game and the traitor changed so i will have to look through the game again to see differences but for now this is the story and until i recheck it should be taken with a grain a salt. right now i am currrently working on stormhold

dawnstar has been beseiged by the ice tribes outside its walls, and beset by a traitor within. the governor banished his four champions as he could not ferret out the traitor, and has sent for you. your job is to single out the traitor, and return with the three loyal champions ot defend the city. the governor promises much, but has only a paltry 50 gold to gie you now.visit eustacia, a healer with aracular powers... she claims to have information which can aid you on your quest.

eustacia:
i can heal your body for free, this the governor has ordered. this puzzle of the traitor ... i might be able to help you there. my mother was an oracle, and i have some of her sight.

take care when talking to the champions; three are honorable but the traitor will lie for best advantage.

i must also warn you that outside these walls is a fearsome creature hat has slaughtered any who fight it. it appears when you rest. do not fight it, you are not ready. run.

(first i headed towards alhavara to question him)

alhavara:
you have sought me out for a reason i presume? ah... i apologize for my manners. can i help you?

beatrice inspected the troops before the attack
chung inspected the gates before the attack
dealacroix reinforced the defenses at the gate.

(i then headed to beatrice to question him)

(Afther haveing this information i came to the conclusion that alhavara was the traitor and when i brought him to the governor the following happend)

warning horns sound as the ice tribes and their monstrous allies appear at the walls of dawnstar. sheer numbers allow some to slip through the defenses. you must track down and destroy the interlopers before they become toonumerous and overwhelm dawnstar. kill the gehenoth to win. for revealing the traitor governor cyril vinticae gives you the strarfrost, a magical frost which focuses the prayers of dawnstar and the power of elemental winter through the user. with this power you just might win. to battle!

(afther beating the gehenoth)

creatures and foes pressed around you but you emerged victorious. weary, you seek governor cyril vinticae to inform him dawnstar is once again his. The governor's thanks is terse, but his gold spends eloguently. you receive the eager gratitiude of a citienry freed from fear, and 3,000 gold.

They don't look very merish, but I think they are resemble glacier folk from Shadowkey. They might be falmer, or some riekling-kin... Or they belong to some unexplored yet race?

Falmer are never mentioned having blue skin - that's fan inference - and so they wear the golden-hue of the aldmer, until further notice.

I'd like to know where the hell the UESP's source for [t]hey had a strong resistance to frost as their skin was coated with a thin layer of blue-white ice came from.

If its green, well [censored], it must be a grass type pokemon.

Anyway...

Hrmm, if blue skin = frost elves, shouldn't the dunmer be red because red skin would = fire elves, which the dunmer pretty much are.

The impression I have of the Falmer is that they are very similar to Aldmer/Altmer but perhaps more pale and lighter/white hair.

That's bull!
The falmer are blue, because blue is the color of cold and blue. I mean, the dunmer are red because they live on a volcano, and the bosmer are green, because they're one with nature

Yes, only creatures possible related to falmer, as riekling or ice warriors, are known to be blue-skinned.

No, they are grey, because grey skin would = ash elves, which the dunmer pretty much are.

They've made plenty of stuff up over the years. Also, Fan-fiction may be the culprit. Once had a person tell me something straight from one of Immortal blood's rp's as if it were lore.

Nice work, however I'd have to say that you'd be abit foolish to compile it all just for the sake of trying to make a website full of things that TIL doesn't have - for one because there's no reason not to just submit it to TIL as opposed to trying to rival TIL, and secondly because whatever you find in these two TES:Travels games are going to be the only things that TIL doesn't have (essentially, you're not going to find enough information to constitute your own site).

As for the Falmer being blue, as Yar-Yulme said, we also have those blue guys in Shadowkey which might be them.

Right now, the biggest problem is spelling/grammar and formatting. I have a hard time following who is saying what and what is actually going on. That would be fixed with better formating (perhaps directly in html, as it is more versatile than the forum code). Proper spelling and grammar would make it easier to read as well.

yea sorry about that its still in the process of being checked over and i had it in a word document and copy and pasted and it kinda got screwed up when that happend sorry I'll get around to fixing it when i can i'm really busy at the moment and yes i think i'll just sumit it to the imperial library i netehr have the skills, time, or resourses to run a website as it is so i think i'll just contribute what i find thats missing to the library. it wasn't ment to be a website to rival the impearial library but to compliment it. sorry for the sloppy mess i put together i'll fix it in time. and i'll get a few screen shots too.
