Day 8 Ctd

Right after following Blade Of Mercy's ''50_Steps To CTD (Almost) Free'' game it SEEMED things was running nicely (obviously still getting your few CTDs here and there) but all was good(ish). Now I've reached day 8 and have hit a wall, if I wait, sleep, fast travel anything and it goes past a certain time (not sure exactly what that exact time is) it CTDs, why, where or how that come about I don't know so hopefully Y'all can help me out. I had a few problems just like this. I would try to wait 1 hour at a time, or set your timescale to 60 (or similar) and keep checking the time.

I had a 5am crash that was caused by UL-DarkForest, and another hard crash point that was caused by DP-ActorsCanMiss, but updating those mods, or disabling them got me through just fine.

It took me a while... disabling 5 mods at a time, rebuild patch, test... you'll finally narrow it down.

Let us know so we can help... It might be DarkForest again if it's happening at 5am.

I had a few problems just like this. I would try to wait 1 hour at a time, or set your timescale to 60 (or similar) and keep checking the time.

I had a 5am crash that was caused by UL-DarkForest, and another hard crash point that was caused by DP-ActorsCanMiss, but updating those mods, or disabling them got me through just fine.

It took me a while... disabling 5 mods at a time, rebuild patch, test... you'll finally narrow it down.

Right I just tried going hour by hour to find out what time i can get to and it happened at 12am it loads then CTD, I also disabled darkforest aswell to see if it had an effect it was the same outcome so gonna have to be the 5mod at a time option...how annoying :(

Ok all mods are now disabled (except one or two I don't think I can disable E.G X.Races.Comp & Alternative start) and still I'm CTDin at 12am.....where do I turn now :(

2B RAEVWD Imperial City.esp [Version 1.7]

You also have:

B4 Better Cities - VWD of the IC.esp

You need to decide which one you want, because with both active you're going to have mass duplication in the Imperial City which will bog your game down badly. Deactivate one, then re-run tes4lodgen.

** All Natural - Indoor Weather Filter For Mods.esp [Version 0.9.8]

This is sitting too high on your load list and needs to move down right above your bashed patch. You may need to try using BOSS on that load order.

Ahh okay what's the better one to keep in your opinion?
And I'll need to manually move All Natural - Indoor Weather Filter For Mods.esp [Version 0.9.8] because it was BOSS that put it where it was in the list.

EDIT:

Just realise the All Natural - Indoor Weather Filter For Mods.esp [Version 0.9.8] mod is imported in the bash patch and not active so the fact its high in the list I'm guessing don't really matter

It does matter, because even though it's virtually active, its placement still dictates which changes will be allowed to override it afterward. So all of BC is reversing what the filter does. I'll have to reposition it in BOSS if it's being put that high up the list like that.

Er.. actually, just looked. BOSS Masterlist has it placed in the block of stuff right above the bashed patch group, so you may need to update your masterlist.

Ahh I see, I thought unless the mod was active it didn't matter...okay I'll get that moved....in regards to the Masterlist it's the 6th March update I been using all along so not sure if theres a new update yet.

Good news though I manage to mind the culprit, Unfortunately it turned out to be a mod I value rather highly in Reneers Guard Overhaul. How a mod like that can cause me the problem it is I don't know...but then it's quite clear I don't know much about the way these mods work anyway.

What can I do to fix it though??

I had a time-related CTD twice now. The first one was caused by UL DarkForest and the CTD I just had (10 PM) was caused by DP-ActorsCanMiss indeed.
I updated the UL and disabled the Actors Can Miss mod.
In the Acors Can Miss mod ReadMe I read the following:
Some players have had issues with the UL mod Darkforest (xuldarkforest.exp)
After several hours of investigation I have no idea why. The Darkforest mod is very heavy in world object edits (conflicting world object edits can cause CTD) however my mod has only 2 very simple scripts, NO AOE spells nor any changes to world objects such as deleted rocks or trees.

All I could try was to add a script line to my mod that would ignore any actor that is disabled. If that does not fix the issue then this UL mod is simply incapable at this time.

I really want to keep using both mods. bah!

The UL Dark Forest issue is as fixed as we can get it without removing the feature. The script used to continually disable or enable the stuff it controls without regard. Now it only does this once each at the appropriate times. I don't really see how it could interfere with anything DP is doing since the creatures in Dark Forest are unique to it.
