Is there a certain level you should be for certain expansions? Or is anyone funner than the others?

You can start any of them at any time. Though I reccomend Point Lookout for a more experienced/powerful killer. I like, of course Broken Steel, but the Pitt and Point Lookout are very nice too.

Personally, I do MZ then Pitt at the start to gain some needed levels and lots of caps (and some toys that last me into the mid-teens). I haven't bothered with Op:Anch this time around yet, but I'd often do that after Pitt. Point Lookout gets a brief visit in my early-mid teens to pickup the perk from Calvert Mansion (and often the Ghoul perk). I tend not to go back to Point Lookout until after level 20.

(All this assumes that you can turn your XP gain rate back to about 33% to 50% after level 10 or so... otherwise you really won't have time to do all 4, plus the major quests before hitting 30. I find that I have the most fun in the mid-late teens, so at level 13-ish, I dial the XP way way back.)

Try to do all the DLC (except Broken Steel) during levels 2-14.

My order:
1) The Pitt
2) Operation: Anchorage
3) Point Lookout
4) Mothership Zeta.

Allright, so My playing on Very Hard is going to make me lv cap before i get everything done? That svcks. And I tried out the Pitt last night and it was fun, but idk I've heard good things about Point Lookout.

I was thinking of doing some DLC then a bit of MQ or sidequest then another DLC, bit of a mix :D
Any suggestion for first DLC, I want one of the shortest.

Btw is the game easy after lvl 20?

Fallout 3 really isn't designed so that you can do *everything* before you hit the level cap (20 or even 30 with Broken Steel).

I usually do Operation: Anchorage first. The Chinese stealth armor is extremely helpful!

I generally play until I hit level 30, or I get tired with the character - which usually takes between 50 and 150 hours of play. On the PC, I can mod to my heart's content - so I have an XP mod that changes my rate to 33% of normal (3x slower leveling). Because I greatly enjoy the game between levels 10 and 25, so I prefer to spend most of my time there. Since I know I won't hit level 30 after I blink a few times, I feel more free to go out and simply explore, or do side quests, etc.

Note: 33% is a bit hardcoe. Unless you have MMM w/ Increased Spawns and can live with only leveling up once every few hours. But I don't turn that on until level 10-12.

I'm on my 5th or 8th character so far... I've lost count. Some were short-lived, however, but most made it at least 50-60 hours. Usually, I play the saint. But this time around, my wasteland gal has a definite mean/evil streak. She was dipping into evil before I got to Megaton, and despite a few flirtations with "neutral", it doesn't take her very long to get back down to evil and very evil. I'm not doing *every* evil choice (I didn't nuke Megaton), but she's started enslaving people and has started to cause havoc where possible. The town of Meresti may end up a ghost town when I get done.

Lookout point is tough for those below level 20. I got carved up in the mansion against those raiders with knifes ... dam my 480 hp went poof in a few attacks! Unbelievable!! I had really good armor on too. Might try MZ or The Pitt first.

First get your house in Megaton... Then go make MZ at level 10-11(like I did, and there some sweet guns... but you must be patient and look everywhere you can for the guns... you will then have to fast travel to your Megaton house to deposite all of your alien weapons, witch can go up to 25 plasma pistol, 17 plasma rifle, ect.).

Now, I think I will do Operation: Anchorage with my level 15 or 16 character.

After a dozen books and Bobbleheads, any DLC should be a little easier.

I only played one, for now, but you can do Mothership Zeta . Try being level 11 before doing it... there's one hard part in it... well a bit more then one... but it has 2 great weapons.

You know, after you hit the level cap, and you're out there killing things, it is a major blow when you realize you won't ever get that little "ding!" when you do things out there. But you get used to it....
After you hit the cap you can still explore and increase your skills if you are looking for books or bobbles. It's no big deal, though it was tough getting over that little sound being gone.

i started with the pittt cuz you dont bring any of your stuff in with you..
then op ancorage for the t51b (which you can wear without the training)
save pointlookout for lvl 20.

also, i have a char that i have 250 hrs on, without the expansion packs. 24000 5.56 rounds, 10000 .308, and millions of other things not to mention the 5000 stimpaks. i played at lvl 20 for a good 100 hrs. i got point lookout and broken steel at the same time. i went to point lookout with my GOD character and those friggin tribals tore him up! i was furious cuz nothing had ever done that to him :flame: :swear: . they were way overpowered but i still won.

I'm doing Vanilla only, MQ and some side quests. Then a new char who gonna explore the DLC's First time playing. You think this way or playing everything from start will be most fun?

That's what I did. Seemed to work out well enough, at least for my first character. I'm on my second character now. Went to the Pitt today at level 7, but I haven't done any other DLCs yet.
