A day in the life of a Werewolf, 14th Frostfall, 4E 202

As Harbinger of the Companions I am still fullfilling contracts that the Companions recieve from desperate citizens. On this day my mission was to recover a family heirloom from Swindler's Den. After having cleared the cave of Bandits and recovered the heirloom, it occured to me that this would be a good time to learn more about the potential of being a Werewolf. So after eating the heart's of all the bandits in that cave I headed out onto the Tundra to hunt.

Having earned a blessing from Hircine that would allow me to feed on any creature I spent much of my time hunting dear, bears, and sabre cats. But I did manage to run into quite a number of bandits such as at Fort Greymoor, Silent Moons Camp and Halted Stream Camp. I also had a number of interesting encounters along the way. I list them here in no particular order:

I encountered a Thalmor patrol fighting some Stormcloaks. Just as I arrived on the scene the last Stormcloak died. What I found interesting is that the Thalmor did not immediately turn hostile. Rather, they warned me I was interfering with "official Thalmor business." So much for "official Thalmor business." I am sure Hircine is quite happy with the outcome of that encounter.

While hunting a sabre cat east of Battle Born farm I heard a scream of someone persuing me. On closer inspection it turned out it was my housecarl Gregor who has a tendency to wander off to Honningbrew Meadery. Apparently my housecarl does not realize that his Thane is a werewolf. I exited the area in a sprint leaving Gregor to ponder his sighting of the elusive and deadly werewolf.

Further out on the tundra east of Rorikstead I encountered an arch conjurer battling 2 bandits. The conjurer killed one of the bandits while I killed him, leaving one bandit alive. For some reason though this bandit did not turn hostile. Instead, he warned me to back off, that I was "close enough." Being in a charitable mood, I left him be.

A mercenary dressed all in ebony, OTOH, did not hesitate to start throwing fireballs at me the second she saw me.

Finally, I came upon a fellow who looked an awful lot like a Bandit Chief dressed in Nordic Carved armor. But this chap did not immediately attack. Rather, he was there to deliver a message from Louis Letrouche, which he did and then proceded to attack me. So my own housecarl does not recognize me, but a hired thug whom I have never met can find me out in the plains of whiterun hold while I am in beast form and know exactly who I am. Go figure.
