Daylight Savings Time

Did any of us here in the US remember to set your clocks ahead for DST.?

I only remembered after my MP3 player had the wrong time

I remembered when I started watching a 15 min video at 1:45 am and saw that it was suddenly 3 am when I finished.

I hate DST so much...

No, I forgot to change mine. Fortunately most of my clocks set themselves automatically, so I don't have to worry about them. My alarm clock on the other hand...

IMO they should dump Daylight Savings Time altogether. Again IMO, it is a relic of the past that has no place in today's world, and serves no real purpose anymore.

But not free from the subjugation of volcanoes and other natural stuff. :P

Nope, if I set it forward the time would be two hours off.

I think most of my clocks do that by themselves. I don't seem to recall 2am so, I guess they changed.

My Ipod is my alarm clock and it changes by its own. But funny enough, my alarm changed too, so instead of waking at six, I woke at seven... pointless.

I was in a bar and noticed the electronic clock jumped an hour... the drunk people were confused.

They took any hour from my weekend. :glare:

What is DST for, anyway? It makes absolutely no sense, to me.

It's supposed to lower power consumption by people not needing to use their lights as much.

In reality: It's silly and serves no purpose in the modern world

THIS!

:excl: Daylight Saving Time began on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at 2:00 AM. The clock went forward 1 hour at that time.

That's one of the reasons the change happens at 2AM, though... At least here in Canada. Bars aren't legally allowed to serve booze after 2, so 2AM hits and service is done, regardless of which way the clocks get set after that.

Interesting, where I grew up they closed at 4 am...I think. Where I live now they close at 2:30 am, some bars close at 1:00 am here . I'd be curious to know at what time bars close in everyone's neck of the woods here on the forums...but that's a different thread.

I've been working on this time for awhile now, so the change hasn't bothered me any.

Eh all my clocks set themselves automatically. Though my primary desktop/home server oddly moved ahead two hours this morning.
