SO

They released a broken game.
Have yet to fix it.
Have yet to apologize for selling thousands of people an arguably worthless product. (Literally worthless to some)
Have yet to release any real information regarding anything that anyone cares about. Sure, they did some balancing changes to some guns and released a patch that allowed you to keep your pistol silencer in SP... *claps* Yet they still haven't addressed A SINGLE game breaking problem and have barely even ACKNOWLEDGED that they exist. As if it's in everyone's head or something. We must all be schizophrenic I guess.

No disrespect to Cry-Adam, well at least not yet, but he is the ONLY contact that anyone has with this company period. You can't call them, email them, nothing. It's come here and hope he'll acknowledge you and give you some useful information. Which he doesn't(I do not care if this is his fault or the developers, it doesn't matter to the consumer). He has yet to say anything except "patches are coming." I mean come on, really? Reading his posts reminds me of following Duke Nukem Forever's production for 12 years. SURE, it's coming, but this decade or next?

Now that the DLC has been announced.... Have you noticed more activity from Cry-Adam on the forums? Of course you have... Cause two weeks ago 80% of the threads on the front page were negative "Crytek svcks" threads. Can't get people to buy DLC when it's apparent that your game can't function long enough for anyone to experience the DLC. Now he comes here to censor everyone with a negative attitude.

The simple truth is:

DLC will get released and be followed by yet another useless patch probably 2 months from now and then you will never hear from this company again until Crysis3 gets announced.

Continuing to support and put forth money to fix a game who's community is already smaller than games that came out 6 years ago is not financially competent. The best move for them right now is to try to calm their current customers down and get as many of them to buy DLC as possible and then abandon ship and put their profits towards..... well.... anything else.

Buying anything this company releases again is just... well.... fool me once.....you get my point.

This, nor any of my other posts in the past warrant deletion or the banning of my forum account. Though this is now my third account in the passed week because Adam doesn't want any negative opinions on the forums with DLC about to drop. Not sure about everyone else, but I believe in freedom of speech.

It is funny to me how people consider this game worthless as it is better than 99% of the games out today. Also, I just purchased Brink and it reminded me of why this game is epic compared to other titles.

I am sorry bro, but they have rules. I believe they are looking for information that he can pass along to the developers, and not rants of the same thing. Cry-Adam hands are tied knowing that his job is to pass this information to right teams in development. He is not the lead developer. Yes, Crytek may need to reorganize their line communication.

The game is far from worthless. People that consider it worthless are pre disposed to not finding joy in anything, and I would say it is in direct correlation with not getting laid.

And another thing, this forum is not the Crysis 2 community. There are still quite a few people playing the multiplayer religiously. I think most of what you are saying is ranting just to be ranting considering it has all been said before here, right or wrong.

I agree with snoopy that Crysis 2 is better than A LOT of the other games, even the ones that lead online multiplayer participation. A big reason that Crytek is getting so much flak is that everyone was expecting big results, probably more than any game is delivering. I think it's part due to how the origional Crysis was a benchmark for computer gaming. Expecting a company that releases the best computer shooter ever made to translate into consoles is asking for a lot. I read somewhere that this was Crytek's very first console game, but wasn't Far Cry 2 released on consoles?

And Arthur, I don't think Cry-Adam's job is just passing information to the right teams in development, and his hands are definately not tied. Anyone that has ever worked knows that if you are trusted to pass information on to clients (the public in this case) then you have quite a bit of freedom in your position. I dont think he is a developer period, but probably a PR or marketing guy. Developers from other companies interact with the players, I don't see why Crytek sends 1 un informed piss ant that probably hasn't even played the game, and probably hasn't ever wrote a line of coding. He doesn't say much because he is afraid of being wrong. What really gets to me is that when he is wrong, he clams up & won't address it. Half of the patches they implement do not do what they are supposed to, and you never hear any reasoning behind why they do what they do. I mean, wouldn't it be nice to hear "The grain glitch isn't getting fixxed because it requires a change that cannot be implemented in a patch" or something along those lines? Anyway, my point is that Cry-Adam whoever he is is part of the problem with why these forums are always in an upraor, and they should have fired or replaced him a long time ago. They don't because he does what he is told, but whoever is directing him needs to send a developer instead of him.

I still like and play the game, but it has completely fallen off the Live Activitiy Charts already. I found that surprising. I knew it would always be low, but not off completely this soon.

What do they expect????

Paying customers won't stand for mediocrity for ever. Crytek are making their own beds, and soon they will be the only ones left to lie in them.

I'm not saying it is.

What I am saying is that it's blatantly obvious that every day that passes and these amateurs give no communication, another one will bite the bullet and trade it or simply stop playing it.

Totally avoidable with a bit of customer care and communication.

Bugs or not, the game is still fun to play. The only real problem I've had is the hit detection. But its the same thing with black ops. I can dump a whole clip in someone yet they still turn around reloaded and kill me.

This seems to be blown out of all proportion on this forum.

Every day that passes with EVERY GAME, somebody will trade it or stop playing, and on those same days, another person will pick up a preowned copy, and start playing.

I would bet that 95% (a figure plucked out of nowhere like most seem to be on this forum) of Crysis 2 players have never even been on this forum, and are just getting on with their lives, playing a few matches of Crysis 2 from time to time.

It's not been a huge amount of time, ALL online multiplayer games have issues for the first few weeks, months, or even longer, and we have been told that further patches are on the way for all platforms.

I know from experience with Call of Duty, that there is usually a patch just before DLC to prepare for that, so let's hope that this contains some fixes too.

Let's not beat the game and Crytek into the ground before it's had a chance to take off, we obviously all WANT to enjoy the game or we wouldn't still be here, give it a bit of time, and fingers crossed it will be worth it.

Crysis2 should get delayed till May or June. It was unfinished and broken.
So sad for crytek.

the problem with player base has more to do with the game not selling a million copies on one platform upon release. So without that volume it's hard to stay in the top 10 on the activity list. The trickle effect is proably exaggerated but the initial volume probably had more to do with ongoing activity than anything.

Cry-Adam has already stated that there will be no patch before the 17th (and I'd bet a lot of money that it won't ever come out) - this is why we have deathly silence. They are flogging the horse for all the cash it can carry before it collapses.

This is how I believe this situation will pan out.

Unlikely that 95% of players dont go on the forum because theres only 100 people online at one time at best.. just look at the majornelson stats

You're right, but.... kinda not really. Every day that passes yes, people stop playing every game. However, games that are broken lose players faster than games that aren't... I'd hope you don't need statistical evidence of this. Also, no one that returns C2 because of it's issues will recommend it to anyone... ever... So also, the number of people that will buy C2 preowned is less than that of a game of the same type that works.

So it's losing players faster than it should be and it's gaining players at a much slower rate than it should be.

Community is dead due to Crytek's poor customer service and receiving a patch that does anything useful is extremely unlikely.

Uh this is wrong. I own NHL 11 and it has on average 15,000-20,000 people on at one time everyday and it's 15th on that list. Just because it's not in the top 20, doesn't mean it has under a 1000 people playing it.

Don't want to sound harsh or anything but just stating the facts :)

Well when I go online I find that I rarely have full games, I have to wait ages for games and then there not full and even if the lobby kicks everyone out then half or more the same people will join again. There is also almost no chance of finding a pro/classic game.

Perhaps 100 is a little harsh but would be surprised if much more and I am not exaggerating when I say this.. I am 4th prestige so I've played a lot and it feels like theres no-one on there sometimes. Sometimes I play in the early morning in UK and I can search for 10 mins for a game and thats while trying IA, TIA and CS.

I've experienced this as well, but since I live in North America, finding games during the day maybe easier than in the UK, but that might just be me.

I just kind of feel pissed off and saddened that this game is slowly dying...

The samething happened to the Army of Two: The 40th Day, it was such a great game but the little bugs annoyances never got fixed. And thus the game became dead except for the few hundred that keep playing it.
