3-4 days to max level, then its endgame?.

Well it appears that it's your problem not the game's one. You are free to rush through content but do not complain if you finish it too fast. Every cake finishes after all, if you gobble it up in 5 minutes there'snobody there to blame but you :)

On the bright side, in a month you're done and can move to other games without additional subscription fees so I don't see the problem here. Honestly, games that take an infinity of time to level up (see the old Lineage II at 1x) are terrible - the progress is so slow that the average player (me included) hardly ever sees the end game. That's bad as well.

I rushed the first level in the beta because I wanted to try various stuff and have a go at PVP but I didn't enyoy it. When the game comes out I will talke my time, what's the point otherwise. If you don't enjoy the content, it's a job, not a game :)

Take into consideration that there are still 10 veteran ranks to level up through upon getting to level 50. How long will it be until there is new content? We really don't know, it shouldn't be a massive surprise to anyone that the time of which developers make game content is a lot longer than the time it takes for players to consume it. I'm sort of expecting people to start making connections to Star Wars and how that was apparently like. Gamers do love making cynical remarks on the internet after all.

ZOS claims 150 hour content in the levelign zone. this sounds reasonable, it require that you do pretty much all the quests.

Now you can power level multiple ways, killing monsters give good xp if you go after the overland bosses who in addition is above your level with an raid group.
Chery picking high level quests you can do in an group is another.
In the beta lots of the quests could be taken over and over, it will be limits like once a day for each in the release version.

People with resources always find ways to level very fast anyway so pretty pointless to do much to stop them.

Wouldn't be surprised of seeing VR10's even before the game releases.

The closed beta testers have had a lot of experience with the game already, there will certainly be guilds there that want to powerlevel and race to VR10.

Counting on a bit of sleep, they have around 100 hours of headstart.

Even my kids know this :) That doesn't stop them from practically inhaling the cake in a couple of bites but they have learned not to complain to me that it's gone. If you buy the game then you do have the right to play it however you like and if rushing through everything to get to the the "end" first is your idea of a good time...more power to you. I think a majority of player though tend to play at a more reasonable pace.

I intend to explore every inch of every zone. ESO is the first MMO that has made me want to do this. Exploration offers so many rewards that I find adventure around every corner, inside every village, and along every shoreline. Chests, treasure maps, locked chests, quests, zone bosses. Dressers, drawers and desks, all potently holding a recipe, material, or class motiff, making every single village a brand new experience.

All of the typical MMO stuff is there as well, but man oh man do I love to explore in this game.

I am in absolutely zero hurry to get to lvl 50.

I intend to stop and smell

every

single

Cool story bro...

Think you've provided your own answer, you have it within you to just not rush.

Or....

Rush then quit after a fortnight. Your choice really

They don't underestimate how fast people are going to gobble up the content, they simply can't create content fast enough for you people; period. Don't be so naive to think that these developers don't understand gamers; they are gamers!

You're what's known as a content locust, you move from game to game, devour everything there is, then move on. I'm sorry to say that the problem isn't the amount of content, but how you're approaching it. Relax, take your time, drag it out. I promise you'll have more fun.

Why does it matter to people if others rush? It's their choice and some people just don't like the temporary content and want to get to end game because that's where content matters in the long run.

Obviously run a dungeon once at level what 27 or whatever but in the long run the gear from it is only temporary.

They could add like a experience bonuses daily of 2 hours that stack, and then decreease the experience gain, so the rushers will still be able to rush but the normal players will have the chance to catch up more fast, since if you play after the experience bonus u get a lot less experience,.

Im dont like to rush i enjoyed the dialogues and the npcs better than any other, becouse they speak and on other mmos they just stand still and make we read, this job in this game was amazing and rush this is insane.

The OP will just have to do what all other content locusts have to do, move on and devour another MMO.

No single MMO can give you what you're looking for, no single developer can pump out that amount of content in that short a time. That's a downside to that playstyle that you'll just have to live with.

To the OP,

There are mostly 2 types of players and overall percentages.

-95% of the player base are people who have jobs, go to school/uni, have real life occupations, kids, activities and such and they also try to play the game on a daily basis 30 minutes to 2-4 hours during evenings. For this, ESO will take months to reach end level , not to mention start on veteran lvl/content. Some of them will progress faster, some slower, but overall it will take months as their time is limited to few hours a day, if even.

-5% or maybe even a smaller percent are people that have absolutely nothing to do than sit in front of the PC whole day, have no jobs, are too rich to require to work or mommy and daddy have that covered for them. They usually tend to spend extreme amounts of time/per day in the game and obviously reach end game and gather stuff in a shorter time-frame due to many hours per day compared to the average.

Now, while I understand you might be in the 5% category, I am sorry if you will reach end content sooner than anyone else and that you will get bored, but it’s your fault for burning trough content that is meant to last for months for the average (1-3 hours a day player).

Also in case you still haven’t grasp it yet, basically 95% of the revenue comes from people that spend an average of 1-3 hour a day in the game, not from people that play 16 hours. So while you think it is unfair towards you, the rest of the world will live on and be happy with it.

Regards,

Darkro

Decent chance for it, also an high chance for stuff getting harder as you level higher up.
Veteran points is the endgame http://checkitweb.com/hazop/work.htmso it should take time.

So, you are dishearted beause you play say 12 hours a day skipping all possible content with the goal to rach top level as soon as possibly and you got your goal completed too soon?

May be I do not understand the point but it should actually made you happy - you got a goal and can make it done faster then you expect.

So there are other games that also have the same "problem" - allow people who want to play asap to skip content and reach top level quickly.

If you could give some ideas - for example limit the number of xp points that can get to your character per day - if you make more then they are put aside and will be assigned next day - but for me it seems a bit strange solution and for sure would be criticized.

I have little sympathy for people who rush a game (skipping 90% of the content) and then start complaining that there is a lack of content.

These people will never be satisfied unless they are getting epic dungeons and loot pumped into the game on a weekly basis. Considering the majority of the type of Players rarely stay for the long term, I don't really feel that there is any benefit to cater for them.

this isn't even possible.

even if you do somehow manage to devour your alliances content like some sort of content locust and reach max level within the first week, you still have to do it twice more for each alliance for 50+ and 50++ to truly reach max, which I imagine would take maybe 3 weeks at least for people who are rushing. it'll take a lot more for normal people.
