So I've noticed a few forumites mention they play DayZ but I've noticed no thread to talk about our experiences in Chernarus.
Here's some links for people who might not know the game:

The game just recently released its 0.55 update and it really helped get the game back to its intended roots: a survival game. Infected are know faster, tougher to kill, and hit waaaayyy harder but there is also a (rudimentary) stealth system in place meaning sneaking around is possible again (ah the mod days of crawling around cities on your stomach ). I've personally enjoyed the few hours I've got to play in it so far. I'm actually killing infected with my Magnum now because going melee just isn't smart anymore. They also changed up their loot tables and implemented the first step to their vision of "Central Economy" with persistence enabled on every server. So loot is somewhat more rare along the coast now and sprinting through cities just isn't an option anymore (as long as infected actually spawn there ). I'm a little anxious to actually start a new life with the new patch (I was pretty much fully geared with what I need when the new update hit).
What perspective do people play? Where do they tend to hang around/what are your favourite loot spots? I think this update was good as I'm hoping it'll cut down on the coastal deathmatch, as shooting will attract the deadlier infected (whose numbers have also been increased ), and get the game back to a more survivalist feeling.
