Deactivating the Middle Mouse button for 3rd person view?

Post » Fri Jul 22, 2011 11:47 am

I'm configuring my controls to something I'm more familiar with, i.e. MMOs, I've already mapped the W (forward) key to my right mouse button, as I can't get used to to using keys for movement. I've also tried mapping sheath/unsheath to my middle mouse button, it works but the problem is it keeps putting me into 3rd person view too. Is there a way of removing the 3rd person view command from the middle mouse button, so that I can assign it to other tasks. I thought the answer would be in the Oblivion.ini file but I wouldn't know what to change and if I could change it would it affect any mods (I wouldn't of thought so but just checking)?

I put this question in this section as it is a more technical issue.

That should be no problem, as I`ve done the same thing. I`m using the Middle Mouse Button for grabbing objects. In the controls ingame menu you can choose between the keyboard and mouse control schemes. Keyboard is shown by default, so you have to switch to the other one. There you`ll probably see "Change View" assigned to your mouse button.

I didn't even realise you could change to mouse settings, thank you. I was using Autohotkey to assign W (forward) to my right mouse button

I would like to transfer the 1-8 hot keys, to the 1-8 keypad numbers on the right of the keyboard, is there a way to do that?
