I think that should be an option in hard mode. I may do it as a challenge someday, but not for a long time. I prefer to simply enjoy the game. Although that does add quite a bit of realism, with the dragons being random, that could be an extremely bad idea. And there aren't any recall spells in the game. If there were recall spells, it would be a good idea. But not so much without them.

No, mainly because sometimes I enjoy jumping of cliffs just to see my body hit the ground.

No. Skyrim has dragons. Were you aware of that? And dragons are hard to kill. Think Big Daddies that can fly and breath fire. That might bring it into perspective. You'd be making a new character every couple of hours.

That is not at all where it started. Dead is Dead has been around in RPGs since forever.

Oh definitely. It blows my mind how people can just ... die, in tabletops. Videogames are one thing, but sitting around with a group and your char dies. Do you accept it? Does the gamemaster give you another chance? These are buddies and friends the dead player character bonded to after so many sessions; I wonder how many groups go about it.

So this is a trend gunny started in the Fallout fourms http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1199130-did-you-did/page__p__17841204__fromsearch__1#entry17841204.

What "Dead is Dead" means is if your character Dies,he stays dead and you must delete the save.

That is the only rule, other limits are self imposed.
The Exception is If your character dies due to a glitch or bug,It is Okay to reload an earlier save.

So you know the risks!
Will you do a "Dead is Dead when Skyrim comes out?

This sounds a little extreme to me.

Dead is dead is not an enjoyable RP for me. The hardcoest thing I do while RP is no Fast Travel, and I feel like I'm wasting time when I do that. I can only imagine playing a save for hours and hours, then die to a hidden trap and losing all that time I put in that character. I understand it adds the adrenline feeling while playing, but I'd rather play a game like Demons Souls (soon Dark Souls), thats actually designed to give me that.
