I enjoyed it especially playing on hardcoe, you really have to think and be deliberate in EVERYTHING you do. I can see how this would be a turn off to some folks, i do not consider my self to be the norm but from what i have read alot of folks here liked it. The DLC is different in that as some have pointed out the run and gun does not work well, it is possible to do, but you will take more damage, and since the normal hostility of he environment in general is magnified in the DLC (especially on hardcoe) being deliberate is necesary. Different play style is what will turn some folks off.

I agree BUT the later part was suddenly railroaded, without enough explanation why find x use on y to get z. You got helpfull little markers but I had just a faint clue why most of the time. Without spoiling too much the stage-show was just the stupest (?) scripting in the world. Oh there is a very good idea behind, but when I know I could do better, then something is very wrong. FAIL.

Some technology just turned Fallout into Star Trek, the parts I hated. And in so doing left the original premise how FO-tech fells far behind. FAIL!.
Someone needs to inform Obsidian what a hologram is, and no, Star Trek doesnt get it rigth.

The holograms didnt do what I expected them to do: interact, demonstrate or perform. Sorry but that is a FAIL!

And finaly, again without spoiling, the very last stage turned into Super Mario 3-D. The game would have been better if they just dumped that entire part. FAIL! Fail! Trippel fail!

There was alot I could have enjoyd but if I slowed down the game would kill me. Literaly. FAIL!.

And the rotten cherry on top? You either HAVE TO finish the dlc or restart from a save before it. No retreat, no admitting defeat, just a [censored] EXPLODING COLLAR!!
Complete and utter fail!!!!!

I am so mad because the idea and concept behind the place is so brilliant, but the motivator and some of the challenges just plain FAILS!!!
Booom repeat Boom repeat is something you can teach a bloody monkey!!!
The only way for me to feel bettter is if a modder makes a "skip-this-boooooooring part" or there is a code for the same. Oh and that they FIRE the Star Trek/ Super Mario fan. Or at least dock his pay.

Dude ... Dead Money is DOA ... Dead on Arrival!! If I wanted an arcade game I would not have bought this DLC. It is ridiculous in design and how the player must solve it. Like using my size 12's to clear a mine field ... got it Homer? Absolutely ZERO IQ required.

Absolutely ZERO IQ required.

Yet you somehow had such a hard time getting through it that you feel the need to repeatedly make upset and poorly constructed posts about it.

We helped Daveh with the speakers in the other thread and now he seems happy. You just keep raging.

Like I said dude ... to solve the game by endless dieing until you get a solution to one situation then have to do it all over for the next is bupkis ... bovine scatology ... but for $10 you can't beat it with a stick. Poorly contructed posts?? Awww did I hurt your wittle feelings? If you dump on some one or demean someone YOU ARE FAIR GAME. Daveh was frustrated don't degrade him for not knowing how to play this DLC. The game play that is for this DLC is so dumb it's infantile. No rage ... it's only $10 ... or 2 six packs.

You realize that FO3 was not the first game and that it had no "fallout feel." And the people who made the original fallouts work at obsidian right?

Ummm ... per this wiki, if correct, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fallout_(series) Obsidian has only been involved with Fallout New Vegas. Are you saying that the design staff of Bethseda now works for Obsidian? That Pagliarulo, Howard and Pely now work for Obsidian?? Wow ... are you sure? The "Fallout feel" is the wander in the wasteland fighting bad guy's or good ones ... for survival. Hey why don't Obsidian hire Charlie Sheen as a front man?

Ah, i see the problem now. No mate, dying a lot isn't how you're meant to get past the speakers.

Obsidian was formed by former Black Isle staff, you know, the guys who made fallout 1 and 2? Bethesda didn't create the Fallout universe.

What ever dude. You like it ... I don't. I think there is enough discussion here both pro and con to allow a potential new buyer information on whether he should buy or not. I say buy for the new perks and for 5 more levels but unless your into pain and frustration, and having to go to the wiki for solutions ... don't play the dlc. IMHO ... *bows out*

Small correction if you don't mind, there is no information. You just say "omg tis no need brain but i is blow up anywai its bad : ( "

You can dislike it all you want, and i respect that, but you're misrepresenting a simple gameplay mechanic that's clearly explained in the game.

Concerning the speakers i actually liked them. Was a fun game of russian roulette running through a room trying to find them and not get blown up. I probably died a few times trying to get to some but really i didn't mind it, trial and error, part of being a gamer.

I liked Dead Money. At times it was abit too maze-like, but no more so than OA or the Pitt. As for the ghost people being the only new monster, well I don't need a bunch of retextured clones of other monsters to enjoy a game. Upon reading the terminals in places, you start to understand why the ghost people are the way they are, (poor bastards). The writing in Dead Money was amazing, both for the NPCs and the notes left on terminals and other places.
